Hill was the funniest.

er....no he really wasn't. Humour is subjective so its a matter of taste, but having said that you are wrong....slapping a bald guy on the head, chasing scantily clad maidens and making farting noises is ok but thats about it..

well same could be said of hitler but still doesn't make him funnier than the Pythons....reckon you may be be ironica or something....I hope...(no offence if you're not...) my fav from the old days were Tommy Cooper - a giant...and Dave Allen...but Benny..well he was ok but not that great (for me)

Hill correctly appreciated in the UK PLUS MANY OTHER COUNTRIES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD!

yes, they probably like him in Germany - BUT THIS IS ENGLAND. Some countries find clowns amusing too - Life of Brian.....Benny Hills movies ? actually can't believe this intense row is still occurring - reminds me of the old the monkeys were better than the beatles wars of 2007

er..is that go man go, the exhortation to jazz musicians ? or go bbc go as in go away and don't come back....anyway yerr man Hill was strictly commercial - python rule..you know it too Truthman

Obviously Hill was much more original and never repeated the same joke in 101 variations. Monty Python had clueless writers, their delivery was banal and not nearly enough (.) (.)'s in it.

Just what did Monty Python ever do for us?

Posted on 17 Nov 2012 18:42:56 GMT
er..please tell that at least you - Mr Connolly - are not being altogether serious..Man of truth I fear as...well...lost his marbles.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS : man of truth has given up the pretence that demonstrating his dazzling array of convincing arguments, his hilarious examples of comedy genius and hos frankly pathologically encyclopaedic knowledge of Mr B Hill was anything other than a folly and a jest - therefore clearly acknowledging for once and for all the clear point that the Pythons oeuvre is more complex, varied and original than the end of pier antics of the sexist blubberings of his previous choice, - in short Monty Python 1 - B Hill 0. a clear win....its all over here now, move along, nothing to see...etc...go on home

Derek Rowe says:
Personal humour is of course subjective , so , personally i never found Monty Python to be "that" funny , they had there moments but thats about it exactly the same can be said for Benny Hill , he had his moments but out of the two Hill was funnier but only in my opinion.
