its about ten past two, mate. (actually Shakti, a quick grammar tip. We normally put the question thus : 'Excuse me my good man but what is the time ?' or alternatively
'Could you tell me the time please ?'
You see putting your question in the manner that you have sounds, to English ears, a little bit funny. One final point on this tricky issue - if you say to someone ''scuse me mate have you got the time?' - there is a danger they may reply 'only if you've got the money'. This is a joke concerning prostitution and is, in my view, rather tasteless. Anyway lots of luck with your ongoing cross-cultural adventrues.

Time is a name applied to a concept that is really beyond Man's comprehension.

Even our great astrophysicists have trouble with the mathematics of space and time when examined on the cosmic scale.

As for anyone experiencing a "time slip" - such subjective experiences I treat as flights of fancy and I would describe as a "perception slip" possibly induced by chemical, trauma, or psychotic episode.

I never wear a watch, and have never found it necessary. I have refused to strap a machine to my body that had the potential to rule my life!

Perhaps therefore, time has no meaning for me!

Time is something that is much shorter when you look back at it. And much longer when maths is involved.

The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.

Nice one NJ - one of my favourites.

Kenny Williams: No bleeding, good...
FH: Just like the service in here!

Oh, nice to see you're officially NJ now - saves me the trouble of abbreviating it...

Thank God it's you Gille! At least you sometimes laugh at my "jokes". Kenny Williams, "I was once a weak man", Hattie Jacques "well once a week is enough for any man!" BOOM, BOOM! No bleeding good, wasn't that Bresslaw? Watched Follow that Camel at weekend! Not as good as I remembered, Bilko fitted in quite well though! Mustafa Leek!

well my friend's 'mind' somehow 'slipped' forward in time and saw a woman and her child die.... her perceptions were most definately altered/expanded beyond the 'norm'......but certainly not in an induced way by the manners in which you suggest.

I watched a programme a while back( it may have been Blue Peter or some such thing) anyway on this prgramme the presenter took flight in a jet which zoomed around the earth moving at the same spped as the earths rotation ( or similar)..........so that what transpired was there was no movement in time..hmmm, so if one is able to move at the same speed with which which measure time ie: the earths rotation, then does time really exist ?

If we consdtantly moved at that speed, would we stop aging?

I got into a coversation on another forum a while back about aquiring differnt skills from different schools of thought...( this was in regards to healing) one man there said if you only had one watch you would always know what time it is......I replied with, if you had three watches all telling different times, you would discover that time does not exist as you think it does....
