I'm putting together a compilation of orchestral film music, but would like to have it interspersed with pop or rock music with military drums.

I would appreciate it if anyone could list the ones that they know of.

Thanks a lot.

Mike.

Best fit for this is Ek Myself (Military Drums - Neil Ettridge) by a band called Corsette. Check it out at http://open.spotify.com/track/069cWY0mD5a0OMSsdF9Wle
Hope this helps.

You could try "Dont tread on me" by Metallica. It's on the "Black Album" Military drums at the start. Sorry my mistake it's actually "the struggle within" last song on the album.

'Another Fourth of July... Ruined' by Big Business. Great song and the military drums are relentless. Other than that, check out some neo-folk stuff like Death in June, Spiritual Front and Rome, they tend to make use of martial music styles and drum beats.

The 12" version of Walking Through Walls off Steve Hackett's Highly Strung remaster has a long military drum break that would do, as does Soldier Of Fortune on Thin Lizzy's Bad Reputation album.

Throwing Muses original line-up had a drummer with a very militaristic style - check 'Hole In Her Head' from The Real Ramona LP - gentle intro then 8 minutes building into a huge feedback psychotic climax underpinned by a really crisp sharp military step beat.
