RAB says:
...ning. All that g-force can make a man nauseous you know. No, I'd much rather just be going in a straight line.

Fatman says:
Marco Polo found the g-point following the g-string.
Not a straight line.

Yangonite says:
Dizzy,
I'm so Dizzy, my head is spinning
Like a whirlpool, it never ends
And it's you girl, making it spin
you're making me dizzy

Fatman says:
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning,
On an ever spinning wheel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

You spin me right round baby right round, like a record baby right round round round.

RAB says:
Spinning the tops as the tables they turn
Made some mistakes but I still couldn't learn
Covered my tracks, thought I was fine
No self control now I'm back on the line

All I've got is nothing but
A little bit of love
I'm gonna give it to the people
Then they'll see, then they'll see

Withnail says:
To everything turn turn turn, there is a season turn turn turn!

Pendragon says:
Now the ballroom's empty
Everybody I have known
Has been and gone
With the music over
Here am I
A shadow echoing on
Spin me round...

Now there must be something
In what they say of all things
Great and small
There's dozen roses
Lying almost dying
To say all
Spin me round...

etc

[Spin Me Round by Bryan Ferry, on Roxy Music's album "Manifesto"]

Twirly birds from Maple trees drop off and spin to the ground like little helicoptors..................especially in New Zealand! ;-)

Huck Flynn says:
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look
Behind from where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game

Are you a Kiwi, Yangonite?

In reply to an earlier post on 30 Nov 2011 17:51:47 GMT
Yasimoto: Marco Polo invented the Polo sweet. When he visited the Arctic.

I think there's a hole in your argument, Y.

Spin says:
RAB: I see you took me up on my suggestion to start a "I Hate Spin" thread. I am pleased to see it has generated the highly intellectual and enlightened posts that dominate this forum. Perhaps , as I previously argued, this thread will grab the attention of the forum mafia and thus allow other threads to progress in earnest. Then again... But I will let you all get back to your juvenalia. Have fun!

So we're having a bit of light-hearted fun, and not at your expense, and you're complaining? Yes I "acted" on your suggestion, but surely even you can have a giggle at some of the replies, especially seeing as none of them are actually directed towards you.

Or would you rather I set up a proper hate thread for you?

In reply to an earlier post on 1 Dec 2011 13:35:23 GMT
Spin says:
RAB: I do realise the humour in your thread. Thats why I responded. I cannot see how you read my post as a "complaint". My unsuccessful sarcastic point was that even in complaining about someone (me) posters stray off topic. Thats all. (PS: The song relevent to my tag is "Spin the Black circle" by Pearl Jam. But I can only remember the chorus right now, so I will return, eventually, with the lyrics :)

RAB says:
Sorry Spin, just picked up some grumbling vibes in your post. Glad to see you took it in the spirit it was intended.

P.S. You didn't try to get Dave Ninja banned did you?

In reply to an earlier post on 1 Dec 2011 14:45:20 GMT
Spin says:
RAB: No. Who is Dave Ninja? I don't think I have seen that name on these threads. (no, don't tell me. He is probably some oink corrupting the threads by offending everyone regardless of thier views, am I right?)

In reply to an earlier post on 1 Dec 2011 14:47:47 GMT
RAB says:
No, he's the bloke who first replied to your Assassin's Creed thread, who appears to be banned. He was robust in his disagreement with you, but if everyone who robustly disagreed with you got banned we wouldn't have a religion forum* anymore would we?

*Some would argue we don't anyway...

Spin says:
RAB: You are kidding! A guy was banned for replying to a comment about a game? Judas H Preist! What are these forums coming to? Well, it was not I who barred him. As you knlow, I may put someone on ignore, but I never report anyone for simply disagreeing with me. Jesus! are you serious? Over a disagreement about a game? (And I never got to read his comments. Amazon moderators.. F***ing idiots.)

He basically suggested you hadn't played or researched the game, such was your difference in opinion. It's been a bit strange on the video games forum the past few weeks though, people getting inexplicably banned where others should have been, whole threads deleted that were completely innocent, and now Dave. It was a few days after the event too, which is odd.

I say that's the reason he got banned, I haven't seen anything else from him that would warrant a banning, unless, like another former poster, he asked for himself to be banned to remove the temptation as the forum was interfering with his work.

I'm half tempted to do the same and not tell anyone, the bewilderment from the other posters would be like Tom Sawyer watching his own funeral...

Spin says:
RAB: PS: I only recently (In the last 48 hours) joined the video game forum. All I said was that AC 4 was rubbish. What the hell could a reply to that be that was so "offensive" as to be banned? What the hell is wrong with these forums? And I thought discussions about movies and games would be harmless banter, a break from the aggression of the religion and science forums....But then, mafia likes control...

In reply to an earlier post on 1 Dec 2011 15:02:59 GMT
RAB says:
Well, no, you did have that thread months ago that basically asked video gamers to justify their existence if I remember correctly. We've got long memories over there.
