I was 're-reading John ringos kildar series the other day and suddenly thought Mark wahlberg would be perfect for the title role so that got me thinking again ( I know it's a lot of thinking ) of all my favourite sci-fi and fantasy books and who I would like to play the lead characters in them. That is where my thinking hit a brick wall and I drew a complete blank, so I was wondering what ideas other people might have. I will of course not be using these ideas for profit and have no plans to contact movie execs at this time ;-) honest.

Paul Tapner says:
I've long thought that if Katherine Heigl ever wants to get out of romantic comedies, then she'd make a good Kris Longknife, which is a series of military science fiction novels by Mike Shepherd.

Ken O'Neill says:
I'm not sure; she's a decent enough actress, but Mike makes a point of saying that Kris is quite flat-chested (more so than on the book covers).

Paul Tapner says:
Whenever the tv series 'Game of Thrones' manages to get up to the events in the second half of the fifth book of the series, I'd like to see Brian Blessed play Lord Wyman Manderly.
