Richard says:
To Connor: It looked very convincing. I think I may have monumentally cocked up and raised everyone's expectations for nothing. Sorry Connor and horrace plus everyone else.

Sorry to rain on your collective parade, the Terror Of The Autons cover is a Fan Creation, the page it comes from has a disclaimer along the bottom about the art only being for personal use. The Index is a gateway to a collection of Covers that have been created by Fans, some formatted to replace the existing BBC DVD Covers.

Just had a look at the Revenge Of The Cybermen / Robot Cover, looks great but I'm not convinced it's legit.

I would have thought the spine would bear the pre existing Catalogue Number for Robot (BBC2332) along with the 2Entertain Logo.

Richard says:
Yes I've made a prat of myself. I guess it was wishful thinking about 'Terror of the Autons' on my part. Again sorry everyone.

If you go on to wikia, they say that a peladon box set,re-release of the key to time(but not limited edition this time!),the space museum and the chase box set,the tenth planet and the ice warriors (reconstructed lost episodes),a mara box set,and a doctor who mythology box set,i.e the myts and ledgends thing. That is a lot of box sets!

Sure is! Its looking like a Terror of the Autons release soon-ish though! The commentary was recorded way back in 2002/3 and it came fith in the Doctor Who Magazine Poll.

Absolutely no need to appologise ! It could so easily have been true and I'm sure there was no intention to mislead. So many of us wanted it to be true and actually this sort of thing keeps us envigorated. When the placeholder pic from "Evil of the Daleks" was used I knew it didn't mean what I'd have liked it to mean, but I loved the idea anyway !

Still looking forward to a completed 10th season and I'm sure a completed 12th season won't be that far behind.
(And, with 'Keys to Marinus' on the way, a completed 1st season [as far as it can be !] only needs 'The Sensorites' and reconstruction of a few episodes of 'The Reign of Terror')

Thanks horrace for your kind words. I thought I was going to get slaughtered on these pages for raising everyone's expectations by accident.

You know that series 1-4 boxset I told you about? It will be selling for 66.98 pounds.

I suppose that's ok,thats like 16 pounds per series.

Richard, you ain't the first person to mistake something like that, you won't be the last.

I think we are all above the silly Fanboy stupidity that plagues some corners of the Internet.

James et all,
Seems plausable in terms of being the big remaining gaps for box sets.

Remember reading a post somewhere else where someone mentioned a myths box set, anyone have any ideas or knowledge of what is supposed to be in it (providing it comes to fruition) ?
Thinking along the lines of classic Greek mythology inspired stories I'd guess the following :
1. The Time Monster
2. The Underworld
3. Horns of the Nimon

I suspect that a 10th Planet/Ice Warriors box set is probably an untrue rumor, partly because it's the one I'd most want (I've mentioned in a posting somewhere on Amazon of the importance of both stories, one is the 1st cybermen & 1st regeneration, and the other as well as being the 1st ice warriors story is a more regarded 2nd doc story than the two remaining complete 2nd doc stories), and partly because I've heard it said in other posts that 'Invasion' style reconstructions are too expensive (but, contrary to that, the first story has only one missing episode and I believe the second story has photosnaps for the missing 2 episodes and the use of these might be cheaper so, here's hoping anyway !).

Oh,and by the way there is also a romour of Shada being released, but it is not even complete!

And Horrace, the tenth planet and the ice warriors are not in abox set, it they are possibly being released with the animated episodes.

I read about a 'Myths & Legends' Boxed Set on the respective Wikipedia Entries for the stories.

horrace says:
Thanks for the update James,
Thought your original post that I replied to was just about box sets.

Shada's kind of muddled now as there is both a 4th doc and an 8th doc version - personally I'd like some sort of completed version of the original telly story, always felt it didn't seem right somehow to redo it as an 8th doc story - and now that Tom is back in the fold so-to-speak maybe he could re-create the missing dialog ?

horrace says:
Thanks Stephen,
With that mix of stories I think even completists will think twice unless the price takes this into account. I'd quite like some of the stories but not as much as the 2 reconstructions James mentioned (or 3 counting Shada).

Big splurge on a couple of Websites listing the full spec for the Dalek War Set and the The Dalek Collection.

Just to clarify, the original Source of the 'Myths & Legends' Boxed Set rumour is a Website called

according to zeta minor, there will be a box set entitiled,"the end" and will have an early hartnell story, the last remaining troughton story, the deamons ,an equally popular tom baker story, an updated version of vengance on varos, and a good mc coy story.

It's supposed to have one story from each doctor, but there has not been a davison story announced yet.
