Ok, help really needed....... I've read a lot of paranormal romance and I've reached the point where everything feels like a rehash and I cant be bothered.
"Kick ass heroine" check- I don't mind this at all but please its getting old
man and woman instantly fall in love but keep avoiding eachother for the greater good- again this has it's place but its every series now.
Please help me find something that is different enough to interest me.
I don't like Paranormal where there are multiple partners although I have read some of it- Laurell K Hamilton to about book 12 before getting fed up
I have already read all of Christine feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Ilona Andrews, Richelle Mead, Lara Adrian, j R Ward, Kim Harrison, Nalini Singh, Karen Chance, Rachel Vincent, Charlaine Harris and lots more. Any new suggestions would be most welcome :-)

Not strictly romance but with romantics moments Furies of Calderon: Codex Alera 01 (The Codex Alera) is the first of a great series. Also by the same author Storm Front (Dresden Files)

You might want to try 'Exposing the Myth' by Sandra Linthwaite - it's a digital book so you can download to a kindle or pc or whatever. I really enjoyed this book and although it's not completely paranormal it has a mythical theme and there's a lot of very exacting stuff such as past life readings, which sounds to me authentic in the way it's written and also a tarot card reading which I'm interested in. I note the author says that she is a clinical hypnotherapist so I suspect she does know what she's writing about.

I know exactly what you mean, I was going to suggest Nalini Singh until I saw you already mentioned her :-).
I've read books by all the authors you mentioned so I might have a couple of suggestion, although they may be covered in your "and lots more comment".
A couple of others you could try would be Gena Showalter (Although I'd start with her Alien Huntress novels - be careful though as a couple are teenage ones), the first couple in the series are awaken me darkly, ensalve me sweetly etc. Don't be put off by the titles they are pretty good and have a more original alternate world then some.
A couple of others you could try might be Keri Arthur, Carrie Vaughn, Patricia Briggs, Jenna Black, L.A Banks, Chloe Neil and Kelly Armstrong's women of the other world series.
Hopefully there might be something in there you might like.

i like all those first mentioned - i've just read this sereis (am on last book - there are 4 ) and its very good IMO - vampires and romance but with an "adventure" in the main plot. lots of well written vbeleivable characters, a nice slow burn romance and is on my "favourites" list of those i'll re read.
A Hidden Fire: Elemental Mysteries Book One

I didn't see you mention Patricia Briggs so it might be worth a look, great characters but probably not that different to what you have read before. For something very different you might try Meljean Brook The Iron Duke.

How do I tell you about mine when I'm not allowed... hmmm... I just did and it's FREE on promo at the moment! I won't add the link since I'm not allowed unless it's on the MOA heading but I do think I have done something different and so far everyone agrees... what have you got to lose?

Okay, shoot me down now... I could not resist okay... sorry! :) xx

I do have to add that recently I have taken a break form paranormal for the same reason you stated and am now reading from a wide range.

For an excellent romance novel read You Don't Have to Say You Love Me

For a brilliant historical fiction novel read The Pillars of the Earth

for a feel good book read Water for Elephants: a Novel

And for something totally WOW and completely different read The Night Circus

Hope this helps
Vanessa :)

If you're looking for something with a completely unique and original story-line in the Paranormal Romance genre you might want to try: SALEM MOON (book #1) and the sequel (THE FALLEN AND THE PURE) both are from National Literature Award winner for best fantasy/Time-Travel Paranormal romance, Scarlet Black. They are fast paced and the hero and herione are equally strong. I like that. Alot of steamy romance scenes as well, magic, witches, fallen angels and unexpected twists and turns.

My book is available above - if you want to read a totally different paranormal romance read this one! It is episodic and includes storys about fairies, Selkies, the Green Man and the Phantom Hitchhiker! I guarantee you will not read anything else like this book!!

Give it a try!
