Beverly Barton dies

I was surprised to learn that best selling romantic suspense/thriller author Beverly Barton died in April this year. I have just read a book by her and there was a note by her family at the end of the book thanking contributors to the book on behalf of the family, which I thought was odd. So I've just looked her up on her web site and she died in April.

I was really sorry to hear about her death, noticed it on fantastic fiction a couple of months ago. She was one of my favourite romantic suspense authors, thank goodness we got an ending to the Griffin Powell story before she died. Oh God that sounds really shallow.

I know what you mean LOL! I've just finished her latest book, which I must admit I didn't like quite as much as some of her others (didn't like the lead woman for some reason). However, in the family thanks note they are thanking someone else for finishing it off.

She died in April 2011, not this year, and apparently there are no more new books to come. A real pity, but at least she finished the Griffin Powell novels.
