Can anyone suggest any books similar to the 50 Shades series? I have read several books since, including Beautiful Disaster, Laura Kaye books but nothing seems to capture me the same way.

May I suggest Joey Hill. Try Ice Queen and sequel Mirror of My Soul. Better written than 50 shades. Also Afterlife (which is part of another series though you do not have to read in order).

There's plenty of erotic romances & BDSM stuff. Elloras Cave are just one publisher that does this. Go onto Amazon Search, Books above, and type in erotic romance, or BDSM.

I second Crossfire books. First one Bared to You by Sylvia Day. A lot of similarities less bondage and probs better written.

Thanks, I have read some erotic BDSM romance books but feel a lot of them focus too much on the BDSM which takes away from the actual story-line. I am willing to give anything a go though so thanks for all the suggestions, i will have a look. I have started reading Bared To You and am really enjoying it.

If you like paranormal romance with sex and a good story that doesn't just revolve around the couple you could try -

Immortals after dark series by Kresley Cole
Incubus by Goodman Carol

The have pretty good storylines and really nice sex scenes. Though, with the Kresley Cole book, the sex scenes may be too much for some, the incubus is much softer.

I'm about to start bared to you :-)

Bared To You is really good, but also the Sweet series by Maya Banks. The first books of the series is okay but the rest are really really good

Are those other suggestions better written than 50 shades? I don't mind the concept, but the terrible writing put me off.

A Girl's Adventure and Girl Trade - both the same genre with young innocent protagonists learning the ways of the world.

Hello,
I loved 50 Shades, but was really looking for a woman who was not a virgin as the heroine, perhaps someone more grown-up, who knew what she wanted a bit more? I stumbled accross DESTINED TO PLAY. They have a free sample download and so far, I am hooked! It seems really sexy, complex, and well written.
Here is a little snipped from the blurb:
`It's simple. No sight. No questions. 48 hours.'

An intensely charged erotic journey, perfect for anyone who was seduced by 50 Shades of Grey.

`It's simple. No sight. No questions. 48 hours.'

When 37-year-old psychologist, Alexandra Blake, leaves her comfortable suburban existence to give a series of lectures , she meets up with Dr Jeremy Quinn, the man who opened her eyes and body to the world in ways she never thought possible.

Destined to Play is the first book in the Avalon trilogy exploring the intricate relationships between trust and betrayal, desire and love, risk ... and reward. If you liked 50 Shades of Grey, you will love Destined to Play.

It was fantastic, certainly lived up to the hype. I would encourage a read if you like erotic fiction - this might be just the thing to follow 50 Shades!

I will let you know how I got on when the whole book comes out.

Hey, just jumping in here!
I really miss reading fifty shades of grey, i only finished freed last Saturday and half of me wishes i hadn't got through them so quick. It's been a while since any book has had that effect on me and i hope i come across another.

I have to agree, I have just read the first book in the Afterlife saga and am hungry for the next, I just couldn't put it down! It's had some great reviews already and the sex is well worth the wait! Loved this book and if you thought fifty shades was good then this blows it out of the water :) Afterlife (Afterlife Saga)
