i have read these and felt exactly the same, but am now gripped with The Trilogy by Jamie Maguire (she wrote Beautiful Disaster) Book 1 is Providence- Book 2 is Requiem and book 3 is Eden. I am totally gripped and never thought i would read something like this. Hope you like it as much as i do

I also enjoyed the 50 shades trilogy and felt a bit bereft when I finished the series. I thought there was a lovely romantic story which has stayed in my mind, the sex parts were ok but tended to be a bit repetitive.
I have recently read books by Evangeline Anderson as follows 1 Claimed 2 hunted 3 sought 4 Found 5 Revealed 6 Pursued. The collection is called Brides of the kindred well priced and very addictived

'Breaking the mirror' sounds as if it could be good, but bad editing puts me off. Especially after the first few lines then we have this quote, "Did you here me, boy!?" How obvious is that? Did the writer even re-read?

Just finished Fire after Dark and it was brilliant i enjoyed much more than Eighty Days Yellow.

If you liked Jamie Maguire Beautiful Disaster you may like the following book

The Boy who sneaks in my Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley

Kirsten Ashley's books are also good reads, decent stories for under £3

Lyndy I liked the "holding out for a hero" series by Shelli Stevens. They were quick fun, and steamy.

I have read so many books since 50 Shades and some have been very good - Bared To You being one of them and Beautiful Disaster. I also enjoyed Strangers, Insufferable Proximity, Caged, Hearts in Darkness and thought Afterlife was really good - can't wait for the next book, but others just haven't lived up to the 50 Shades trilogy. I enjoy imagining what all these dark, mysterious men are like. Thank you for all the suggestions, i continue to work my way through your lists.

Lyndy Ann,

Did you finish Captive in the Dark? Should I pick it up?

Has anyone read "The stranger I married" she wrote Bared to you.

I've read a few books since 50 shades, bared to you, destined to play (which I hated!) beautiful disaster, but my absolute favourites were Gabriel's inferno and Gabriel's Rapture, I just finished them and have gone back to re-read them from the start again. Gripped me as much as 50 shades! Looking forward to some other suggestions too!

Yes I read Captive in the Dark in a day and a half, a very good book but be warned some of it can be hard to stomach, 2nd book out 01/09/12 and I had a nice email from the author after I sent email about the book which was nice.

Has anyone read Prophecy child of light by Felicity Heaton, it is part of the vampire realm books which there are about 9 in the series. I read them after fifty shades, they are fabulous books.

Just finished the reluctant Dom..read it in 5 hours! I'll admit some of It i found uncomfortable, but also I cried too..don't think a fiction book has ever made me have a lump in my throat like this book did. Not quite 50 shades but a gripping read all the same!

I agree with recommending cross fire series, I enjoyed 50 shades, but I must say bared to you I think was a lot better written. ALso there is haven of obidience.
