S. Harrison,
If I may, I liked to list my vampire novel for consideration. It's a bit more grown up with a poignant love triangle theme.
The Blackwell Brothers: Twin Brothers. Both Vampires. One good. One Evil... One woman.

Happy reading.

Just finished reading Fighting Destiny & Taunting Destiny (Fae Chronicles) by Amelia Hutchins. Third book Escaping Destiny is being realised on 17th February.
Fantastic read, full of tension, good story line and drool worthy men. Lots of sex which could be condensed but what would be the fun in that?? Would recommend theses books. Similar to Afterlife saga. Enjoy.

Dark Layers (Volume 1)

Knowledge is Power

Synopsis

Law graduate Anile has recently finished university and is now ready to venture into the working world. She has suffered two discriminating and scrutinising interviews but still remains sanguine with her attitude and refuses to let anyone bring her down.
She reaches Dark Lawyers for her third interview and meets a man who is enigmatic, prepossessing and smart beyond any of her expectations.
She is checkmated in her interview and completely deflated but she should have seen this as a warning fore she couldn't predict what was yet to come for her.
The blandishment of this man's words invites Anile to expensive cryptic parties, spectacular dates and lures her into darkness. If she is not careful and doesn't listen to her subconscious, these very words will be carved into her headstone.
Love is the only thing we have that cannot be controlled, but, Anile will soon forget this as she will be plugged in and
programmed into her emotions
like the rest of the world.

Funny and smart beyond your expectations.
Read it for yourself.

Twilight and Vampire Diaries are too full of teenage angst and weak stories for me so I love J.R. Ward and Lara Adrian. I have just discovered and really enjoyed Elizabeth Hunter's Elemental Series; great vampire mystery/romance.

I just started reading Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series, (Awesomely constructed) i have devoured the first four books in under a week only Archangel's Storm still to go. Another series of books you should consider Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin books i found them to be an enjoyable read.
If you are looking for a more weighty read try Deborah Harkness A Discovery of Witches, and A Shadow of Night. Vampires, witches and Daemons, not to be confused with demons. You should check it out.
After the Guild Hunters books have finished i will find myself without anything to read, has anyone any suggestions for me?

Anita Blake vampire hunter. Over 16 books in the series so far. Dark humour, sex, violence, amazing down to earth, non skinny heroine with bags of sass. Vampires, lycans, changelings, gods, magic, zombies and good old serial killers. Peopl you love to hate and would love to love, lol. Also highly recommend the Nalini Singh books on pay-changelings. Very addictive, good characters and total "raid the bookstore for the next one in your slippers" type of read. Enjoy. X

I can't recommend enough the Grim Reaper novels by Darynda Jones - the first one is First Grave on the Right. The heroine Charley Davidson , is a PI, but she is also the Grim Reaper, so you get murder mystery and the paranormal aspect. But the best thing about these books are they are the funniest, snarkiest, feel-good books I have read in a long time. And the love interest has to be the most hot, sexy badass (anti) hero ever!

I highly recommend the afterlife saga series by Stephanie Hudson. Afterlife (book 1) and the two kings (book 2) are already released and book 3 the triple goddess is out tomorrow. In all my 28 years I've never been hooked on anything until these books, and there will be 7 books in total.

Hi

Try Afterlife Saga - it has great reviews and I love it

Afterlife (Afterlife Saga Book 1)

Afterlife... just some gothic nightclub where gossip is fuelled by the presence of a rich and unearthly, handsome family or Afterlife...the strange place where time seems to stand still and guests feel the presence of something more powerful held within the confines of the VIP.

Keira is new to this small, cold town and is running from a past that seems to feast on her darkest memories. She finds living with her sister away from English soil to be just the ticket to the new life she is trying desperately to find. So when the offer of a job at the infamous Gothic nightclub Afterlife comes along she thinks that lady luck has finally found her. That is until its seductively dark and forbidding owner Dominic Draven sets eyes on her. All at once she is captivated and plunged into a world she never knew existed but the deeper her obsession with Draven becomes, the harder it is to decide...should she stay and continue to work within the shadows of the supernatural or should she run from a madness she thinks may consume her?
