Has there ever been a Prog rock song 4 mins or less worth its weight in gold?

Mark Kibble says:
Now you're showing a complete lack of knowledge on the subject, four minutes???? a decent intro lasts longer than that!!!

How long is "I know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)", the single edit?

How about 'The World Became the World' by PFM? I think it's absolutely wonderfull, although it might be slightly over 4mins.....

Book of Saturday by King Crimson. Although more a polished gem of a gentle jazzy miniature rather than a gale-force KC wig-out I think it's a corker - and after hearing it I still can't understand why some people think that John Wetton isn't a decent singer.

Fliss, there are several versions of 'The World Became the World', including the original Italian one and a single, although to make it short enough to play on the wireless loses a lot of its effect. It is a truly wonderful track, though.

Bill Bruford recorded a priceless prog artefact in the shape of One Of A Kind Part I with a running time of a mere 2:20. This was in 1979:

You get Part II as well in that video.

Martin says:
For me that's more jazz-rock than prog, but it's close enough, I suppose!

You might have a point, Martin, how about this: Cogs In Cogs, Gentle Giant, 3:08:

Yes - perfect!!

Also, the track 'Power and the Glory', a bonus not on the original album of the same name (if you see what I mean!).

That was put out as a single, wasn't it? I know I missed it at the time and didn't hear it until I bought the CD in the nineties. Nice song, but the production sounds a bit off:

Yeah, but they tend to be Jim Pembroke's not-so-good ones - all the decent stuff by Jukka G is hours long.
