My favourite Allison title is "Your Molecular Structure". Still not sure if it's a love song or a lust song:

Your molecular structure is really somethin' fine,
A first-rate example of functional design

Carradale says:
He sang that! And " I Ain't Downhearted but I'm Getting There" about not achieving huge fame and fortune as a musical performer.

Also did Nat King Cole's "Meet Me at No Special Place"

Baby, we two can't get along,
I'm never right, you're never wrong.
So meet me at no special place,
And I'll be there at no particular time.

Nicely poignant as one of the couples we were with are NEVER on time or in the right place.

Tom Jones, whilst a great vocalist has never made many great records. He's just an old karaoke machine. He murdered Kiss and Burning Down The House amongst many others.

I don't have a problem with old bands reforming. Nobody is forcing anybody to buy the new albums or go to the gigs.
I just saw Macca at Hampden and he was fantastic. He was bloody awful at times in the 80's but if he'd chucked it then we'd have missed the revival he's enjoyed since Flaming Pie in the late 90's.

Something to do with McCartney having a good, young(-ish) band as well, possibly. Perhaps Van Morrison could be rejuvenated in the same way if he employed hungry young backing musicians instead of playing with tired old farts like Georgie Fame.

Carradale says:
This is degenerating into snake-coiling word play and is not addering anything to the topic in question.
