Ballbreaker by AcDc, a gem from the vaults that I was inspired to throw on after reading Spacepigs purchase over on Tommos Metal thread. All killer, no filler.

One of those bands that the MF regulars really have a hárd-on for. Seems to be the cool thing to do for one to give these an utter slagging whenever they're mentioned...

Guns N Roses - ' Use Your Illusion 1 '

Can understand the disliking of Axel, but there's really nowt wrong with the original GNR in terms of the music, tho the original line up had already changed with this album.

Hi Lez - I'm glad you're enjoying Augie March. I love Glenn Richards' voice (and he's nice-looking too!). Did you get the link to the review I pasted on the other thread?

Robert Forster (The Go-Betweens) writes interesting music reviews for The Monthly magazine. You can read all his reviews at
http://www.robertforster.net/rfwriting.html

and if you scroll down to "An Afternoon at Rough Trade", he gives a (brief) review of Alela Diane's The Pirate's Gospel.

There's plenty of clips of Glenn on Youtube but I like this
http://youtu.be/QZTFOsPEpzY
and the ones that come up when you search "glenn richards rockwiz"

Mine seemed rusty a bit this morning, and second from the top slower than usual, so needed some polishing and filter change...

Some Nights by Fun. Wonderful prog-alt.pop (?) that's quirky and touched by rock. Getting a suprising amount of airplay right now. Don't let that put you off!

So what do you reckon to Dry The River, then, Brasso? I see they're on at the Festival Fringe this year. Worth a punt?
