R'n'RA - don't have quite that many, but I probably have about 60 (and rising). SOme are on CD but a lot are FLAC downloads from smitty's favourite bootleg site. I've a fair bit of Neil Young, and odd ones and twos for quite a few of the names on your list. Are you in email contact with any of the regulars on here?

In reply to an earlier post on 8 Jul 2012 19:44:21 BDT
hi derek , no i'm not in e mail contact with anyone yet, but if they want to trade then i would be.

one bootleg i've struggled to get is slade live at reading 1980 , so if anyone has it then i'd be very interested.

you should put all your downloads onto cd for safe keeping.

all mine are mp3 as its quicker to download. flac isnt really needed for bootlegs anyway. i mean if its an audience recording initially then it is what it is and its not going to sound that much different on either format. its also easier and cheaper to squeeze a 31/2 hour led zep gig onto one cd.

do you have any led zep?

r'n'r a

All my music is on a 1 Tb NAS drive and backed up to a 1Tb USB hard drive which lives in a foam lined box in the car when it's not indoors for it's weekly update, so unless someone simultaneously blows up my house and steals my car I should be OK (but I do have CD-R copies as well, as my lifetime of working in the computer industry has made me paranoid about back-ups. You can never have to many back-ups!!!). Re Led Zeppelin bootlegs, I have the following, all in FLAC, I know that a lot of these are available from many different sources, and these are all either SBD, Matrix, or claimed to be very good audience (can't verify at the moment as I haven't listened to all of these yet). can convert them from FLAC to whatever your prefer.

Led Zeppelin Southampton Refectory 1973 - I seem to have two versions of this with slightly different track times

The Southampton gig is available in 2 versions as there are 2 different mixes taken from the multitrack recordings. Eddie Kramer did the recordings and then he and Page started to mix them with a view to release them, which they inexplicably never did.

RnR: I have the Slade at Reading 80 bootleg, (also have Maiden, Whitesnake and Rory Gallagher from the same year) I can burn you a copy if you want. I also have the Hawkwind bootleg you mentioned, and a whole great pile of others.
I don't have many Zep ones, and none that haven't been mentioned already except some studio sessions etc.
Drop me an email (address in my profile) if you want Slade copied.
