good to see you lot are finally catching up with me re. jam bands. been banging on to anyone who'll listen to every single artist and cd mentioned so far for years.

a good introduction to widespread panic is "live in the classic city"

Something about your accent suggests you live in Scotland, Peter. I might be wrong ;-)

Something about the fiscal detail backs this notion up ;-)

Well Cheeze: you will no doubt have seen on Youtube, Widespread panic are great and have possibly the best guitarist alive today with them now in the awesome Jimmy Herring...check out his stuff on Youtube. he's a mind blower : )
he has played with the Allmans and The Dead too (Ala Warren), plus my fave stuff of him is with Aquarium Rescue Unit, what band they are/were ! Check out 'In a perfect world' 'The Calling' is great too. Now going for silly money on Amazon but cheap download.

Oh and Gov't Mule are amazing, seen them twice in London and agree that Dep End live sums them up. But MY most played disc of the ten I own is the 'Live at Roseland Ballroom ' NYE 95/96.

To all those kind souls that have thanked me on other threads, for the Moe that i have sent them:

Let's not forget that it was Derek that mentioned them in the first place,& the real thanks should go to Spacepig for sending me some Moe that i have since shared with those that i thought may like them.

Just posted yours Wharfy.(2nd class i'm afraid,as it was the only stamp i had)

In reply to an earlier post on 22 Mar 2012 16:23:00 GMT

Only was a play on words that just wrestled its way out of my finger tips.

Well píssed off as I just hit post and was promptly informed that my tinterweb connection had crashed. NOT TRUE - ƒuck up at some point or another - but - hey - it's Friday, I'm half cut already so who gives a flying ƒuck.

What I think I said earlier was something along the lines of giving huge thanks to everyone for their recommendations (viz-a-viz The Deep End Vol 1 & 2 and The Deepest End - both now on my wish list and just waiting for my pay cheque at the end of the month to migrate to the basket) - and to comment that I already have the Dose / Life Before Insanity double package.

Once again - my real purpose was to say thanks for the info.
