Stu says:
Well as an atheist myself, I personally get slightly fed up with the theist point of view that God created everything in the world.
Just because it says so in the beautiful book called the bible, when that can be proved wrong in so many places.
If it can be proved wrong to the theists, why do they not listen to us?
There are some nice theists who you can debate properly with, but the others put their fingers in their ears and sing lalala.

Personally, I can only go on hearsay.

Bearman says:
I don't think anything about god because he doesn't exist. If you had phrased the question "Atheists what do you really think about religion" I would have answered that while it may play a useful role in primitive cultures by cementing alliances and presenting "some" moral guidance/rules, however it should have no place in modern civilisation where it is not needed and makes no sense. Furthermore, I believe it has become a hiding place for misogynists and criminals, a crutch for the feeble minded, and a pathetic excuse for hatred and violence all over the world.

Enjoyed the first album, but the second was a bit of a letdown.

Should have discussed it first eh Bearman, then I would have got the title right, too late to change it now.

Bearman says:
I don't think you got anything wrong Stu, I was just using it as an opportunity to say that

a) god doesn't exist
b) religion in this day and age is a bad thing.

Thanks for the opportunity - your question was perfectly phrase for my response ;-)

Dan Fante says:
That difficult sophomore album. There's been an interminable wait for the much anticipated third release too.

Dan Fante says:
Remember 'Crossroads' by the way? The film with Karate Kid in, not the soap with Benny.

The guitarist that made a deal with the devil? Good film.

Obelix says:
Think he doesn't exist, though I doubt it's any mere accident that an awful lot of the people who think he does seem to be misguided, poorly educated, dangerously disturbed, or all three.

Dan Fante says:
That's the one. Well, it's loosely related to Robert Johnson (who allegedly made a pact with the devil). Karate Kid has a guitar playing contest with the Devil (in the form of Steve Vai). I remember the music being good.

"what do you really think of god"

Frankly I don't. What would be the purpose? Daydreams rarely prove fulfilling.

Bearman says:
There were some serious guitar skills in that film.

That takes me back. In the days before the teenage mutant ninja turtles we had the not so young, almost certainly mutant, polishing and dusting Amy Turtle.

"I don't think anything about god because he doesn't exist."

Spending your whole life on a religious forum talking about something that doesn't exist makes you look like a ".................."

Fill in the blank.?

If God doesn't exist, you would need to invent one to fill that big empty void.At least you got the Amazon forum to hang out on,well,it's better than "nothing."
