how does it make you feel that your prophet Ehrman strongly discourages criticism of Islam and the Koran? discuss. Cheers.

[edit] oh no wait i forgot, he's not your prophet at all, and you can drop him like a dead weight when it suits / he is just a decoy to use at will or when it selectively makes you look good. Got it. He's just a shallow intellectual fad like Cristopher Hitchins.

He'll be discarded now and picked up again later, to be wielded strictly when the coast is clear of logical people.

(I could be the most amazing Atheist!)

GtL,

Do you think they wrote this song with you in mind?

richard says:
he says he will write a book about Islam when he no longer values his life! how does that make you feel?

Enjoy the video, guys.

Spin says:
Glorify obviously views Islam as a means for confrontation, not illumination. Indeed, Islam is a "religion" that brings out the worst in people.

C. A. Small says:
Who said Ehrman was a prophet? Islam is an odious, misogynistic, homophobic, cruel and ultimately daft religion. It will go the way of all religions sooner or later.

It's pantomime to CA. But really he's just a xenophobe. And has no proof of Islam's demise beyond his own stiff neck.

Posted on 3 Nov 2012 10:57:55 GMT
Oh, wait. I got more.

I suppose the homophobes, odious men, misogynists and cruel folk in his own society are not true scotsmen and so don't count as part of CA's realm, eh? Figures. In which case he must be right, and it must all be Islam's fault. Despite that the holy bible is 10 times more misogynist, homophobic, cruel and ultimately daft, and is the foundation of CA's realm itself.

Shall we talk about Sodom and Gomorrah? Shall we talk about Eve? Shall we talk of David and the slaying of the philistines? Shall we talk about those things or not? Or are you going to deny that Queen Elizabeth is head of the CoE? Do you disassociate yourself from that realm, history, and religious heritage? In which case, what exactly are you "defending"? Your football team?

Posted on 3 Nov 2012 12:42:03 GMT
By "going the way of all religions", therefore, CA must mean that Islam shall outlive his own life.

Spin says:
Glorify: Surely ,as a muslim, you would be more concerned with truthfully explaining and defending Islam, instead of attacking others on the basis of your own irritation? You do realise that you are doing nothing to promote your newfound belief? I only wish this forum had more genuine muslims contributing to it...Then you would have met your match..

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 19:31:26 GMT
what? I don't understand where you're coming from. I do try, though.

Posted on 3 Nov 2012 19:32:18 GMT
"Irritation"? You credit me with way too much emotion.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 19:34:56 GMT
Spin says:
glorify: there is lot you do not understand. I have no doubt that in the future your ego will cross the line between self-confidence and immorality..

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 19:37:41 GMT
"ego"?
what line? where is it?

cripes you're not half vague sometimes, Spin.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 19:43:34 GMT
Spin says:
Glorify: You ask "What line? Where is it?" I rest my case.

Posted on 3 Nov 2012 19:44:39 GMT
Where is it?

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 20:18:54 GMT
Spin says:
glorify: It is exactly at the point where you ask "Where is it?".

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 20:27:01 GMT
are you some kind of mystic? I only deal with science. observable fact. If there's no line, then you're just playing with me. Since I could walk over it accidentally, without knowing where it is. So it's a catch 22. You've basically just asserted that I've crossed a "line" somewhere, but you're not telling me where it is. So I don't think the line exists. you made it up.

That's essentially just making an assertion. Let me try:

I predict Spin will cross the line between sense and nonsense ... NOW. There. You crossed it. I told you you'd cross it. Now deal with it that you've crossed the line. You crossed it because I told you you did. I don't need to tell you where the line is.

This is fun!

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 20:32:23 GMT
That speaks volumes about you GTL.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 20:35:22 GMT
what, that I part-take in a bit of light-hearted joviality with Spin?

Thanks!

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 20:40:13 GMT
No, that you find this banal twaddle to be fun.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 20:43:24 GMT
Cheers!

Spin says:
Glorify: You "only deal with science"? Really? Explain your condemnation of the contributors on these threads as "zionists" in scientific terms. Explain your radical and fantastical interpretation of monotheistic texts, political engagements and cultural traditions in "scientific terms". You are no more a "scientist" than you are a "muslim". You are someone seeking a truth thst evades you because of your hostility to those who wish to inform you.
