Nice demonstration of the christian way- well done.

Also nice sidestep on the evidence front- are you sure you're a scientist?

And no I am not the best the forum can do, not by a long way, but apparently good enough to make you resort to a smokescreen rather than produce some evidence for for idiotic beliefs. This is BTW, standard for theists on here. No evidence, so just produce some verbose drivel and mystic b/s. Sad, but very predictable.

C. A. Small says:
So not a scientist then?

Diane - you don't seem to understand that this is a debating forum on the subject of religion, including theists and atheists, excluding no-one. If I make a statement concerning my beliefs it is because I'm expecting a debate concerning those beliefs, not necessarily a confirmation of them. Many here are shot down in flames, quite rightly, and refuse to consider another point of view. The variety of opinions on this forum is what makes it interesting. I notice that you are still here.

C. A. Small says:
Or you get voted down because you produce no evidence, and when asked for some throw a tantrum- like you normally do.

Or demand info from others you won't give out yourself.

You are a coward and a hypocrite, DB.

"Jesus told us to avoid loud and aggressive people."

Is that why I put you on ignore... I knew there had to be a reason.

Bellatori says:
You spend your whole time vilifying other people and then complain of mockery and bullying as if you were the victim and not those you persecute...

Oh the irony...

DB. You do not tolerate the strong opinions of an atheist no more than they tolerate yours. It is two sides of the coin. What else can you expect! Where are the agnostics? Still sitting on the fence having nothing to say because they do not have a strong opinion either way. This is not a wishy washy subject if you have strong opinions. I will give you this much; you are battling on in spite of the odds.

Drew Jones says:
"And, yes I am still here despite all the mockery, name calling and bullying."
If the bullying does make you leave then why think it is the cause of others to leave? And again you must know that 'Tom's' name is going to come up sooner or later throwing a spanner in works of your concerned debater facade.

Posted on 27 Apr 2013 11:59:47 BDT
Do you count that bigoted homophobe Tom as one of your 'bullies', DB?

'Tom' says it's not an insult if it's true and accurate. Do you argue with that?

'So you 'mock and 'name call' other theists'

No, I didn't think you would answer this one.

Tom wrote some truly heinous things about gay people, many of which Amazon had to delete. He wrote bigoted statements; ergo, he is a bigot. That is not mockery, not name-calling, or any other responsibility-denying label you can come up with. It is plain description. So the question is, why are you excusing his behaviour?

'you didn't have to prove my point'

You've used that one already.

My point is you are a coward and a hypocrite, who cares more about an evil, domineering organisation than about human beings, most of whom you cannot trust because, to you, everything outside the Church has to be ruled over and controlled.

DB says:
As a human being, I am off to lunch with my family.
My mum is catholic
My dad hates all things religious (bit like C.A.)
My daughter left the church at age 13 (so much for indoctrination)
Her partner is an atheist
My husband is an atheist

We all love each other and respect each other.
We will have a wonderful day together as always.

Now whilst i'm away, make sure you get as much insult in as possible lol!

I expect the guilty to be punished, not excused. You feel otherwise. To an outsider, your brute ignorance couldn't be clearer.

Tom is a bigot, yet you excuse his actions, no matter how inexcusable they are, simply because he is a Catholic. Plainly you think faith exempts someone from moral accountability. That is loathsome, and clear hypocrisy.

I believe in responsibility; you believe in ruling over people.

I believe in respecting the individual and their rights. You believe in blindly obeying your Church's orders to ignore them.

You are a useful reminder how close zealous Christians are to Fascists. Feel free to go on supplying further proof.

And so long as you act cowardly and hypocritically, you will be called out on it. If you can't stand to look at your own actions, you shouldn't be doing them in the first place.

Actually it's a shopping discussion forum.

Anyway, those Aliens from the planet Cadbury have done a lot for us. What about the instant mash potato 'for mash get Smash'? Good of them to come over here.

Bellatori says:
The 'coward and the hypocrite' is the one who bullies others simply because they feel guilt at standing by and doing nothing when others did something.

We know you are catholic... have you thought of becoming a Christian? Your Pharisee act must wear very hard with Jesus.

Now where did I put the rubble pile...

...and you still have not taken the hint then...

"Now whilst i'm away, make sure you get as much insult in as possible lol!"

Whilst you are away we can get some sensible discussion in...

[EDIT] You really must have an ego the size of a planet to think that you are the most important topic of conversation on this or any other thread. I doubt that any of us give you a passing though when you don't post (and hardly that when you do).

Diane -
'And, yes I am still here despite all the mockery, name calling and bullying.
In your treatment of me, and those like me, you expose what you really are.
Please continue. (I have no doubt you will)'

What am I? Enlighten me.
You still haven't told me why you didn't vote for any of Tom M's multiple posts, and blaming every one, including me, of voting him down. Strange that.
