Or he could just be trolling...

Spin says:
John: EVERY post on a discussion site can be accused of trolling. It depends on ones ability to converse, debate and appreciate as to whether a poster is a troll or an inquisitive, if controversial, questioner.

wow. chill out, dude. peace, man!

Spin says:
Glorify: "peace" is not something you can currently demand of others.

Spin,

"EVERY post on a discussion site can be accused of trolling."

Not justifiably it can't, or maybe you have a different definition of trolling.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 21:08:15 GMT
Spin says:
John: I do indeed have a different definition, and awareness of, "trolling". I employ the term in reference to commercial, political or religious propoganda or advertisement, specifically designed to promote something. I do not apply the term to general or common opinions I may disagree with.

Fine - then seems like we're not talking about the same thing.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 21:24:03 GMT
Spin says:
John: We are, as you very well know, talking about the same thing. Its just that you are being argumentative. Tut tut! =)

Pot and kettle spring to mind ;-)

Spin says:
John: Ok.I can see where this is going. Adios, until your next serious post.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 21:41:36 GMT
Spin,

I doubt it was going anywhere - but sure, adios.

Someone always has to have the last word on this forum. tomorrow I shall probably find the whole forum has been covered in CA's early morning last words. Then I shall have to add my own. So on and so on.

GTL,

So why the switch to Islam? Come on, do tell.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2012 21:59:28 GMT
Spin says:
John: To be honest, I had no idea where it was going either. =) I anticipate, but do not expect. C'est la guerre! =)

Joe. C says:
Sorry to butt in, but of course Islam will "outlive" us all... What a ridiculous thing to say and i'm sure C.A didn't say otherwise.
It comes from a book that doesn't have biology to worry about. It's messages have been passed on for well over a thousand years... Hopefully it will undergo some dramatic changes in the near future in the same sense other religions have in the past...
"odious, misogynistic, homophobic, cruel and ultimately daft religion."
That is summing Islam up about as good as you can in one sentence.

Spin says:
Why would people join a discussion site if they did not want to discuss? Theists know everything about science. Atheists know everything about religion. Learning is, no doubt, a foreign concept to the cheeks that constitute the same arse. =)

Can't argue with that spin.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Nov 2012 00:32:45 GMT
Spin says:
Kraka. I can argue against it, But thats just me...

so daft, that one has to fight it with all one's feeble intellectual might lest it take over. daft things having that innate logical tendency to prosper.

I don't believe GtL has converted to Islam, I think she's just being fair minded. More Muslims would probably contribute here, but they've not been welcomed in the past so they'd be rather stupid to.

In reply to an earlier post on 21 Dec 2012 13:34:03 GMT
Spin says:
CE: I think the main reason muslims do not contribute to these threads is two-fold: First, because, as the few that have appeared show, muslims have no knowledge of other religions. Islam is such that it demands a rejection of other religions. I have read posts from christians and jews who have investigated Islam, but all the posts from muslims refer only to thier own faith. For example, ask a muslim what he/she thonks of the doctrine of Trinity and one will get a repy concerning the Islamic ideal of the unity of God as outlined in the Quran, but one will not receive a theological or philosophical argument concerning the concept of "Unity" or "Trinity". Islam today tends to dismiss abstract thought concerning Allah. Secondly, few Christians on this forum have any in-depth knowledge of Islam itself, relying on news reports and hearsay to assess muslim faith. Thus questions about Islam usually concern political or moral issues rather than theological ones.

The majority of Christians on this site have a good knowledge of Islam, it's the atheists who rely on news reports and hearsay to assess muslim faith.

C. A. Small says:
CES_ not so, and you have repeatedly been shown to be ignorant on a hugely wide range of issues.

In reply to an earlier post on 27 Dec 2012 20:50:25 GMT
Spin says:
CE: Indeed. A fact that has always astounded me; Atheists discussing religion and, more astonshingly, telling those who have spent time and effort studying these religions how wrong they are in every respect. Atheism is a grand belief, is it not? =)

Spin says:
CA: And of course, you are quite knowledgable on a "hugely wide range of issues".
