The brain and I Liz Brown. 1.95 I am hoping to set up a discussion about introducing pyschology thro' fiction in a more overt than covert way. I was lucky enough to read psychology at Exeter University in the 80s as a mature student and then lucky enough to be a researcher in the same department now school for over 20 years. During this time I started to think about fiction and pyschology and started creative writing courses and when I retired I made my first attempt to look at the role of the unconscious (brain) in everyday life and hence the birth of THE brain AND I which actually is a romance/relationship fiction with a psychological twist with a mysterious end as Jacky has a brain with a life of its own thro' unwanted thoughts and dreams and "brain" has a very different view on Jacky's life and men and what to do. My creative writing tutor thinks this has not been done before, in this way, and it would be great if people interested in psychology could read it and let me know 1) did it work 2) have they come across this before 3) discuss this idea in general. Best Liz Brown
