Carradale says:
Like 'em or loathe 'em they are certainly a varied bunch.

Some of the names can be quite clever, however (Trevor?)

What are the best ones or worst) you have spotted?

Or better still make some up.........

1. One name per post (i.e. no lists)
2. No consecutive posting
3. In brackets say if real or your own (be honest)
4. Optional opinion as to whether a good or naff name
5. Optional opinion of degree of quality or naffness if you have heard them

If this has been done before , apologies

There's a Neil Diamond tribute act in Glasgow who calls himself 'The Real Diamond'. Downright dishonest and misleading. I've never seen him, and I'm not likely to, so can't comment on the level of naffness, although I could hazard a guess.

Spacepig says:
We have a band here in Ireland called Ireland Maiden (you can guess what they do).

I thought it was a reasonably clever name, they are not too bad as well, seen them a few times. Nothing like the real thing, but good for a silly old night out anyway.

Carradale says:
I liked the name Not the Hoople.
Bit obvious perhaps but simple and effective....

MC Zaptone says:
Carra, I haven't seen your name in cyber-print for are you, mate? In fine fettle I'm hoping. Nice idea for a thread.

This years Small Faces convention (Sept 8th @ Venue 299) The main act will be the Small Fakers
They sometimes perform Ogden's Nut Gone Flake] as a theatre piece, I wonder who they replace Professor Stanley Unwin with and what a S.U. tribute actor might call himself?
