TM, Tracy Lawrence is a bloke, one of those sneaky American tricks to make us Limeys look stupid. I have Country CDs by Tracy Byrd and Trace Adkins too, also both of the male persuasion. And then they (Americans) have the cheek to have a 'comedy' record called 'A Boy Named Sue', as if the idea of a man with a woman's name is ridiculous! You can't trust 'em, I tell you. I said sorry because all I ever seem to mention when it comes to music are Country singers.
Peter, I know CBT was seriously considered, it wasn't a matter of some overworked, underpaid NHS doctor rejecting it out of hand. The female clinical psychologist I mentioned that I first had lectured at Bristol University and was very highly qualified and I think she may have been the one who decided this after we'd spent a lot of time together.
Schiz, I too have been somewhat concerned about the tone of Plats later postings but, to be honest, what could one say to him that would make any difference? Also, with the amount of unpleasant, negative posts he received (not those disagreeing, just those insulting) I didn't want him to feel that I was 'turning' on him in any way, I thought this would, if anything, make him feel more isolated so, rightly or wrongly, I elected to remain silent.

hyper - it looks like Amazon has removed plattersea's thread at last, I must say it needed to be done, he was straying into weird territory, hope the guy manages to sort himself out.

Sorry to go off-line but if Hypergod is lurking I added some "Cars" comments to the Randy Newman thread.

What Randy Newman thread, you loon? There isn't one! I looked on 'Crack The Code', which is where we were talking about him (wasn't it?) but I couldn't see anything. I'll search elsewhere.

Sorry TM, I just found it and came back here at the speed of light to apologise profusely to you but you'd already read my post so... sorry anyway! The reason I thought there wasn't one was 'cause when I typed his name into the 'jump to tag' box it informed me that there weren't any discussions but I could start one if I liked. Sorry again, matey! I'm now off to see what you wrote.

No probs. just as long as you get there, eventually.

Hi hyper, unless someone more knowledgable can tell me different, I don't think you can jump to a thread just the main forum.

Just e-mailed amazon Peter, hopefully they'll have it sorted soon.

I contacted them before when we had the wrap problem and I can only say that I was impressed by their response, so fingers crossed we'll be back to normal soon.

ps that includes your spelling, that last post of yours was spot on, couldn't understand a word, I'm used to deciphoring your messages. hee hee hee.

PLEASE READ.........IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tel +61(0) 7 32221347 Ext 17347 Fax +61(0) 7 32221219 <>
Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment that you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it!
If you get an email along the lines of 'Osama Bin Laden Captured'
or 'Osama Hanged' don't open the attachment.
This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe ...
Be considerate & send this warning to whomever you know.
You should be alert during the next days:
Do not open any message with an attached filed called
'Invitation' regardless of who sent it.
It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer. /span>

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts.
It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a mail called 'invitation', though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately.
This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus.
This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

Sorry for it being a bit long winded but I felt this was worth passing on.

Reporting back reference current problems with retrieving posts:

Amazon replied to my mail this morning, they are aware of the problem and are currently looking into it. Sounds like a bear with it jobby until it can be rectified.

Who's this with-it bear that you're on about MK? I take it you intend to spend your time picnicking in the woods with him and his mates until Amazon fix the time travel problems which, incidentally, are currently driving me out of what little bit of mind I have left! It's been the best part of two days now, hasn't it? What utter bollocks!!!

Hi Hyper; I was scanning through Crack the code earlier where some bright spark seemed to think we were back to normal...wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrong its still in a bloody time warp somewhere between tuesday night and now.

That old film 'The time machine' was on digital the other night, do you think this amazonian system has been programmed with a copy of a dvd?

Seriously; most large companies run a back up on their mainframe overnight, then if anything goes t!ts up they have a recent copy of their database to re-install, however occasionally the old gremlins appear during the download. Both this and april's wrap problem occurred overnight so if I were a betting man I'd have a fiver on that as being the problem. I don't know whether amazon have their own I.T department or not, possibly they could be subbing it out, but any half decent technician can usually sort out these problems fairly quickly but sometimes it has to wait for the next overnight reboot to kick in, lets hope its ok tomorrow,

Haven't managed to catch the Neil Young gig yet but I did catch Crosby, Stills and Nash on the red button earlier this afternoon.

Were they expected / billed as playing ? I missed it if they were.
