Another ouch one for me I'm afraid looking at £93 for an advance ticket. Mind even York for Jan (using furthest time to try and get picture) has shot up £20, So maybe its not best time of year to test prices on.

Thought I'd look at advance flights for London gig, still too much but actually not bad in a way compared to rail fare,

If I'm reading the site correctly and the prices are return and not one way fdlying from Edinburgh might be a possibility. Though other half might not be up for driving me to Edinbyrgh for back of 7am, And of course which airport is best to come into and how to travel to pub will need researching. Think I might be kidding myself here now i think on it.

Just further realised, site was only giving flights down ay 7am which is a big enough ask for someone to drop you off but you have to check in 2 hours early these days. We'd have to get up before I went to bed.

Mark,

I'm looking forward to that and I'd like to report that tommo's CD has arrived, and I suspect that I'm looking forward to that more than his last.

Have my gifts been forwarded?

Any danger of a tracklist for Covered by the girls perchance? I've sussed out a few of the songs but I'm struggling big time with the singists.

Back home today, had a great time. Lovely to meet Peter, Phil and SRJ to whom many thanks for organising everything. Hope those who were not too good are improving and can make it next time.

I've seen your shoes(lovely profile shot), Tommo, so the prospect of meeting your self and others is something that I look forward too. Feb, not sure, maybe later. It would be great to actually meet you all and have a good ould anorak yatterin session, and the odd grog. I am curious to see if Schiz actually has less hair than I do.

Oh Atlanta was originally Little Feat if memory serves, TM. Just being OCD, so apols in advance.

Toffeeman says:
Smitty,

Well I'm aware of the Little Feat track of the same name but the AK CD gives a writing credit to Mick Ralphs and I found reference to Bad Company recording it (on the web). The Little Feat track claims to be written by Bill Payne. And, having listened to them both, they appear to have different lyrics (and melody) so I think we're talking different songs.

BTW, have you got round to the instructions? I do want to do a good job for you...

In reply to an earlier post on 10 Nov 2010 08:08:16 GMT
Will do that, Toffeeman!

In reply to an earlier post on 10 Nov 2010 10:58:14 GMT
Toffeeman says:
OK.

In truth I had always assumed that both of the Oh Atlantas were the same song but research for the CD indicated otherwise...

If you're going to have a who has the less hair competition I hope you will at the very least hire a private room

Unless Schiz has grown it since Oxford,it's not possible to have less hair smitty.

Call me a nosey bastard (as i'm sure you will) but would you like to share with the group as to how you are so sure of that.

I only saw his head Peter. Suggest you ask any barmaid, if you really want to know what else is shaved. (I wouldn't!)

Yes...my shaven haven is for the ladies only! Actually if I didn't shave once a week hair would grow still allbeit a bit patchy on the top or front. My shaving originates from my memories as a youngster of my father's constant battles with the wind on his Bobby Charlton style 'comb over', always promised myself if it started to go I'd shave the lot off!

Thanks Lez btw!
