Would we be better governed if our politicans had a heuristic learning pattern?

Simon what sort of competence was the decision by Europe's leaders and their apparatchiks to adopt the Euro based on?

...based on knowledge? Who's knowledge? Knowledge of what? What knowledge told them they could impose monetary union without first having a United States of Europe?

Simon, it seems to me they did not base their decision to create the Euro on any knowledge of history or economics, there was little if any 'epistemic competence' shown and no rational decision making definitely.

BTW, I don't understand why readers don't think your OP adds to the discussion? Silly, when your post, the initial post, was attempting to start discussion. It's amusing that readers think the same about most of your thread starters and then go on to post hundreds of times on the topic sometimes...nowt so queer as folk.

Perhaps they did play rock, scissors, paper.

Beloved...as ever you make wise and powerful points. For this I am eternally grateful. May I please ask Beloved, what do you think was the decision making process used?
