Simon, when the gov spends more than it collects in taxes and finances this by borrowing, it incurs a debt (the total of its borrowings is what is know as the National Debt, perhaps it should be called:l the Government Debt)...like you when you borrowed from the Co-op Bank to by the IQ...that's known as Simon's Debt...believe it or not. So what's Derren got to do with it?

Oh Simon a reminder:

what's the title of Brian May's solo album , first track called 'The Clearing' that you composed with your mate Brian?

Thank you. Why didn't you say it's called 'Space'...I'll have a listen.

Hurray, Simon Tim Rice-Boyd gets a credit...and royalties?

Don't be silly Simon. When the gov of all the Donkeys spends on JKers more than it collects from health food shop owners in tax, it prints some bits of paper saying, UKeydonkey Bonds (increasing the so called 'National Debt') which it sells and pays interest on until they mature. When, in the unlikely event the Donkey gov collects more from you than it pays to Benefits Pros it buys back some Bonds reducing the 'National Debt'. No BS Simon.

Any evidence for this....or do you believe it because someone told you it was true?

I've seen UK Gov Bonds Simon.

The One says:
The point some wiser people make about the national 'debt'........no need for it.......government could issue money without interest to spend on infrastructure and create jobs............so no debt but only 'debt'

What did I do...I asked Brian to lie on a couch...look up...relax...take a deep breath....feel the eyelids tiring....close the eyes....then and ONLY then....asked him to relax...deeper...and deeper...until he reached a forest (no guitar please)....walking through the forest Brian came to a clearing...the "Lichtung" as Heidegger called it...and he found a sense of inner peace.

Hi Simon. That sounds interesting. Mister May has a more interesting hobby than inserting fish into groupies a la Led Zeppelin, which though I have never done it, sound like it might get boring after a while. Far more to astronomy. Fair play to him.
