In all levels of our so called society we see the huge problem of "word magic". In ancient cultures there was sometimes a witch doctor capable of creating illness just by words....

In 21st century UKdonkeyland (homage to Beloved Gordon) we see word magic in action. A good example - the banks. Politicians seem to think that by saying "we must get the banks to lend" will make it happen....words are words....action talks!

Why should they lend out money to businesses or individuals when the bailouts the taxpayers have given them, interest free, can be used to play the stockmarkets instead.

Magical? Ahem: the ancients distinguished betwen mystics and their Magi opposite for very good reasons. So-called Idealists are mysticists, with the world as their internalist congenial idea, always puppeted, as in Socrates' Slave cave, symbolizing Hell, non-use of proof, use of deified ideas, underworldliness, black-and-white shadows/inversions of reality, idiocy. unaccountable puppetry, and so on. The first reason why they deifying their ideas and system-emergent properties is for denial purposes.
A problem presents, but they have no idea how to solve it, so they talk up a deity for pretending to address it. Their deity-value (word) is their attempt at problem solution, and is used for denial purposes. Worse, their deities clash. They will often want two incompatible deities (values) at the same time, like 'not borrowing your way out of debt' and 'growth'. Politicians who deify their ideas into intransigence and denial should never be given any power.
