How so Funty?

That you claim to have no idea, really isn't worth a toss.

Spin,

You're spinning in ever diminishing circles, as always, like the oozle woozle bird.

I support free markets, which is not what we have in Ukey banking, is it?

<<Stealing money from the unemployed>> What money is being stolen from the unemployed? The unemployed are paid more than they have ever been. Benefits payments in UKey are at an all time high.

If the gov had not propped up the banks (which, imo, it should never have allowed to run out of control) what would have happened to the old and infirm? What would have happened to your savings and job?

Spinny, who owns the UK banks? The people in UK banks who made the big bucks in the boom were not the shareholders (those you call Capitalists) but their top employees. Bank shares are now worth frig all. However you (and most of the working pop) still have a job, a house and your bank deposits are still there.

Spinnaker, historically, Capitalism and welfare state redistribution, has raised the lifestyles of everyone in Ukey to levels undreamt of in your philosophy.

Even in this recession more is being produced and consumed by more worldwide than ever before. The world's Global Gini coefficient is falling. Income distribution is becoming more even, as poor countries grow faster than rich countries.

Historically, in rich countries, the Geni Coefficient fell as incomes rose, that is until around 30 years ago when, for reasons no one seems to be able to explain, they started to rise. One thing seems sure though, it wasn't because they became more capitalist and less socialist. What do you think caused it?

Do you think the super rich, who you seem obsessed with, want to see most of the population have falling living standards? How would that benefit them when they make their money out of a consumerist system as you keep saying?

Spin says:
Gordon: Is it a "conspiracy theory" that the system you support is stealing money from the unemployed, the disabled, the old and the infirm in order to prop up the banks? As long as Capitalism prevails, and those who can afford luxuries can maintain their lifestyle, to hell with all else?

Yes self explanatory.

The Funty says he has no idea, well so frigging what? Conspiraloons are convinced they know however.

Loons who hold Conspiracy theories like :
* 9/11 was US gov black op to give Bush excuse for starting Afghan and Iraq wars
* HIV developed to wipe out homos, blacks and druggies
* Fed Reserve owned by UKey royal family, Israel and Rothschild's
* Illuminati are a secret society of the world's richest who conspire to control everything, they have now started a programme to wipe out most of the population so they can have the planet pristine for themselves
These beliefs are based on illogical rantings. Beliefs that fly in the face of the weight of overwhelming scientific evidence. Beliefs unsupported by any credible evidence. Beliefs based on feelings and false evidence.

Adherents display evidence of schizoid delusions - minds that create 'reality' through false beliefs.

Hence the term: CONSPIRALOON.

No.....not self explanatory....let's take the attack on the twin towers. I have no idea what happened inside the planes. I do not know who was flying them, or why they did what they did. I do however have doubt about why building seven collapsed. Does that make me a conspiraloon ? I note from past debates that you tend to believe what you are told by authority figures...eg...evolution.

The Funty,

Self explanatory.

Or do you prefer the more pc: 'conspiranoid'?

No, no, no. Technology Funty. Humanity has more resources now than ever before, and we are 'creating' them faster than ever, apart from in NK, Venezuela and Cuba.

Folk are awash with goodies and there's no sign it's going to change anytime...in fact we're getting more and more...we are so rich, by comparison with any previous age. Rich men from ye olden days would be amazed at how well even you live. Take off your blinkers.
