Simon, To be serious for a minute. You make a fair point about the Eastern Bloc superiority at some sports...those they calculated they could clean up at with the appliance of science, resources and management. The women's events in particular. They would have probably won most events in those sports they came to dominate, without the drugs. Their athletes were perfectly prepared, little pressure, no press hype...they had been trained and practiced to perfection mentally and physically. Their minders simply said to them, you are going to get to the final and you will win it...that's what you've been prepared to do...simplez
