I was listening to that song - hard to say I'm sorry - by Chicago the other day, but I couldn't quite make out the words enunciated by the great Peter Cetera at the very end of the song, and wondered if any posters out there had any ideas ?

Is that the bit where he sings:- 'After all the Who you've been through....' Maybe it means that she's been subjected to Quadrophenia on a loop, at blistering volume when she'd rather be having a nice kip...

This subject was put to bed after we discussed the merits of Carol Vorderman's botkin, everything else just seems to pale into insignificance.

Weird thing is, when I logged on today the first thing I saw was that thread about The Voice and my first thought was 'somehow I don't see that prospering'.

Amen to that. Best thing (or maybe worst thing) is, I appear to have been spectacularly wrong about The Voice thread, just as dear old Hyper was about the original 'Hard'

He sings: "If You Leave Me Now is a BeeGees song in all but label, but don't hold it against us, as the Gibbs are underrated on Amazon.co.uk, ok?"

Oh wow ! really Adrian K....has it Really been discussed before ??? really ?? (etc for sarcastic effect...)

Thanks TheFoe.

Mr Kibble - sorry, but whats a botkin ? not prospering....sad memories of early banter here.

anyway back to the business at hand in this thread - a related issue - were the Monkees the first truly Prog band and were they better/worse/comparisons are odious....in relation to the Beatles.
