Thanks for the tip JB. Loved the early Dr Hook before they went all soft and gooey circa 1976. I've got those three albums on vinyl. Time to update methinks!

Cheers Valerie. Agreed, their irreverent stuff is great. Always good to hear from folks that find suggestions on this thread useful.

I got this a few years ago, it's brilliantly selected from their best pre-slush period, bit expensive over here but it's on the Oz Raven label so you might be able to pick it up cheap over there?

I Got Stoned and I Missed it - The Best from Shel Silverstein 1971-1979

Val H. says:
Thanks Brass. I checked and that compilation is available here at a reasonable price. There's about 50% duplication but still worth it for the tracks not available elsewhere.

This seems crazy, 5 cds for 6.99;

Original Album Series - Dream Theater

Wonder if this 'adds to the discussion'?

Johnny Bee says:
Sorry Brassy, couldn't resist it.

Wonder if the saddo who pressed the button previously will admit it and explain why - v. doubtful.

The best 3 I have spent this week:

Heavy, doomy, sludgy, whatever you want to call it I love it. Best thing is, you can listen to it before paying for the download if you want to.

Another nice one JB! Again, I've got the original vinyl but I'm undecided as to whether invest in this or not. I seem to buy so many without giving them the attention they deserve. But keep the bargains coming!

Cheers Valerie. It sounds like you have a most impressive collection of vinyl!

BB King Electric Blues disc one/ 2.24 + postage I paid for this 2 albums and bonus tracks set. Remastered in'all

Could've had it cheaper but being a spendthrift, I splashed out the extra 0.01 for a UK seller

Hawkwind Boxed Set 4CD Hawkwind/In Search of Space/ Doremi Fasol Latido/Hall Of The Mountain Grill. A 1996 remaster foe all the albums concerned apparently. Out of stock so you might have to wait a bit

Play are doing a 3 cds for 15 deal - not your usual ancient back catalogue stuff but 191 recent releases including Django Django, Dry The River, Beth Jeans Houghton, the new Counting Crows (covers) album, etc. Worth a butcher's.
