Well I have been known to spend many a happy evening sat on the old sofa, indulging in timeless bloke philosophies whilst knocking back the old cans of Stella...

... Oh, hang on, wrong Morrissey I think

"All of the greats of the sweet science, remaining forever at the peak of their powers, delivering the dream matches of the ages about which we mortals can only speculate and dream". Very poetic Liquid, almost Morrissey-esque! :-)

Just been enjoying the latter half of Dusty Springfield prog on BBC4. Missed 1st half as was watching Ringside Rivalries on ESPN Classic, featuring an iconic panel of Bert Sugar, Carmen Basilio and the irrepressible entity that was the late Angelo Dundee. Many tend to overlook the incredible characters that adorned the respective corners of Ali and Frazier through the trilogy of fights that defined boxing's most storied rivalry. Dundee in one, Eddie Futch in the other. True legends in their own right. If I could choose my afterlife, it would certainly be boxing heaven. All of the greats of the sweet science, remaining forever at the peak of their powers, delivering the dream matches of the ages about which we mortals can only speculate and dream.

Did anyone see/hear the Sky news report on the horsemeat story today? Apparently the staff at the meat packing plant in Wales spent the day boning horse meat....I dunno those Welsh eh? At least the sheep had a day off then... ;-)

Neph, I know you did, and I much appreciate the few who paid interest...but all this claptrap that's vented about wanting to investigate new bands etc etc? If it ain't a p.c. disadvantaged artist or they ain't singing about troubles, death, other p.c. disadvantaged persons or it doesn't have 'a message', it don't get a look in. Sad!

Al...I like the Rippertons... funk isn't very popular on a predominantly rock raged forum though..

Anybody see any nominators and voters around? They all p***ed off somewhere to coincide with my Fave Artist choice ...funnily enough, they did it the last time too...anyway tell them they can come back now. Neph's choice is posted ready for nominations.

;-)

TheFoe - sane and logical people don't believe in it, that's why they choose leaders with dementia/Alzheimers, only they got this one too early, he's sussed it and copped out of the ongoing con.
