I've always had my email address on my profile. Maybe that's where some of the crazy spam of the recent coupla days originated. But like Neph says, always happy to hear from you.

Right,...we're heading to talking about biscuits again (which has been done about 1000 times before!) I declare this PPU thread closed!

A customer says:

1 can Refrigerated large buttermilk biscuits
1 can (12 oz size) Spam luncheon meat; chopped
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 cups milk

Prepare biscuits according to package directions.

In a large skillet over medium-heat, saute Spam and onion in butter until Spam is lightly browned. Stir in flour and pepper. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in milk. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture just comes to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, until gravy is thickened. Serve over hot biscuits.

Mondo Ray says:
You can't buy margarine anymore. Thatcher's govt decided that the non-biogradable by-product of the oil industry (which could actually be left on the outside back step in the height of summer and receive no interference at all from any insect or other non-human living thing) wasn't really a nice thing for us to ingest due to its astoundingly effective carcinogenic properties.

LOL! Had a feeling you might do that Wharf. I wondered whether I should have told you to set the alarm on your phone. Mind you, now that you're retired, don't suppose it really matters how long it takes you to get home. :D)

OK Wharfie, see you in Ireland next time. Or maybe our Australian friends have something lined up?

Spacepig says:
Who said anything about Dublin Gingerlily? Its easier for me to get to London than to Dublin now that they have stopped the flights from Cork to Dublin.

Posted on 28 Feb 2012 14:08:33 GMT
I did! Since I'm there... And the train goes from Cork to Dublin...

But we could all meet up in Athlone - thats central enough.

In reply to an earlier post on 28 Feb 2012 14:15:02 GMT
Spacepig says:
Sounds good, except that - I don't know where Athlone is! I have been in Ireland over 4 years and the only places I have been are Cork (obviously) and I have passed through Dublin a few times on the way to the airport.
But it sounds like an adventure, could be fun.
