Derek W. says:
Why stop at rock stars. You could demand to know whether the farmers who grew the veg you buy or the raised the animals you may or may not eat were in favour of hunting or not. You could demand to know whether any companies or retailers that you use have shareholders who are members of the Countryside Alliance, and if so refuse to use them.

It looks like any music involving Mike Rutherford would need to be disposed of.

It's good cheese though. I've eaten quite a few blocks.

rnra - soz but this isn't a good argument for the defence. Page is one of the sloppiest lead players ever. Decent on acoustic though. TN is a bog standard player who's added zilch to the rock guitar canon. Much as I dislike their material at least the likes of Vai, Van Halen and Satriani have taken guitar playing to new levels. What players of note have ever cited TN as an influence? Back to the OP TN's an obnoxnious right-wing Septic jackass whose personal politics etc stink. A good case for Tipper Gore and her chums for another session of album burning.

There's no way i'm dumping Pink Floyds music, not even if they all turned out to be mass murderers!

In fact/or not:

I'm off to cull some Robins.
Easy to spot the blighters in the snow.
If a Fox dives in front of one with it's wings up,
i'll cull him too,don't you know ;-)

And to finish off, animal friendly hunting song.

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
Heigh ho, the dairy-o, a hunting we will go
A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
We'll catch a fox and put him in a box
And then we'll let him go

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
Heigh ho, the dairy-o, a hunting we will go
A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
We'll catch a fish and put him on a dish
And then we'll let him go

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
Heigh ho, the dairy-o, a hunting we will go
A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
We'll catch a bear and cut his hair
And then we'll let him go

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
Heigh ho, the dairy-o, a hunting we will go
A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
We'll catch a pig and dance a little jig
And then we'll let him go

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
Heigh ho, the dairy-o, a hunting we will go
A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go
We'll catch a giraffe and make him laugh
And then we'll let him go

@nuge.......i do not agree with your assessment of his playing abilities , and ive read plenty of guitar mags where notable rock guitarists have cited nugent as an influence.

however he is a grade A right wing nutjob. i used to think his rants were all a bit tongue in cheek when i was a kid. i was wrong!!!!

In reply to an earlier post on 21 Jan 2013 16:50:35 GMT
Yes, a real nut job, and getting worse. His next album is most likely going to be given away free with a survivalist bunker and assault weapons package.

If I had nothing to do with everyone that held opposite views and opinions to mine, I don't consider that I'd have many folk to talk to ;-)

Is this a symptom?

Any chance of Ted Nugent coming to Canvey Island? we are overun with bloody foxes here! I am not joking they are becoming a real pest here, and have no fear of people!Last night i counted six of the little darlings in my street.Unlike in the country where they seem to have territories they seem to be learning to live side by side here.

James Hetfield of Metallica is another moron who hunts. As for Ted Nugent the guy is a joke. Funny how he goes on about being a patriot yet it was convenient to evade the draft.

In reply to an earlier post on 22 Jan 2013 07:38:54 GMT
so because he hunts he's a moron= crazy logic

what about aborigines?

I find it easier to understand people who object to factory farming and animal experimentation. At least a wild fox has a life of freedom and a chance of escape. At least it has a life outside bars / wire etc.

Indeed, I guess it must be hard for your average millionaire rock star to survive the parched urban wilderness that is the USA.

In reply to an earlier post on 22 Jan 2013 09:14:18 GMT
nothing wrong with going out and catching your prey for food. i quite enjoy shooting a rabbit for tea or catch a trout for sunday breakfast.
if that makes me a moron....so be it.

at least i have the nous to be able to feed myself rather than rely on supermarkets for meat that may not be what it says on the packet. at least when i shoot a rabbit i know i'm getting 100% rabbit meat
