Jimi jac says:
Strawberry Fields Forever - The Beatles
I Know it's probably the most famous song on your list, but it still sends shivers down my spine whenever I hear it. (which is not very often, so I don't get bored with the song)

Brass Neck says:
Already nominated two posts before yours unfortunately, care to try again? You need to pick a song from '67 that hasn't already been nominated. When nominations end tomorrow night, a voting thread will open to find a 'winner'. Nothing from the Byrds in there yet.

Could I Have The Beach Boys "Surfs Up",
I know it was only officially released a couple of years ago, but it was recorded in 67

Mondo Ray says:
The pedant in me is crying out for someone to correct the Scott McKenzie title. It should read San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair). Next poster?

Mondo Ray says:
GR - Suzanne won a recent round, quite rightly of course, but just so you know in case you want to renominate.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 May 2012 21:34:09 BDT
Brass Neck says:
That may well be the strategy, however it can't have been nominated on this thread so it may be viewed as less than helpful to point that out?

In reply to an earlier post on 4 May 2012 21:47:50 BDT
Mondo Ray says:
Sorry, Brass. No strategies here. As you know, a Lenny song invariably garners top points from me. It's just that whenever something has won on a past/different voting thread then someone (you?) usually points it out. I honestly feel that something that's already won a previous voting thread tends to get the swerve by current voters. I was trying to be helpful, and should anyone think otherwise then I offer my sincere apologies. At this point in the noms, Lenny stands at 4 points from me.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 May 2012 21:56:32 BDT
Brass Neck says:
The strategy would be the re-nominator's not yours Mondo. I know you're trying to be helpful but sometimes people do intentionally renominate and maybe would rather attention was not drawn to it? I've NEVER pointed out a renom for that reason. I have pointed out when someone nominates a second song by an already nominated artist as I think that's potentially bad form. However I may well be in a minority in believing laissez-faire is the best approach.

Howdy squabblers.. Just to let you all know that someone called Little ol' meses has started round 7 of the pop thread now who's gonna start the epics..

In reply to an earlier post on 4 May 2012 22:12:29 BDT
Mondo Ray says:
Okay Brassy, like I said, apologies to both you and GR. I agree with not interfering in the choice of others, and that was not my point. I get enough negative things said about my noms to know better than to do the same.

GR - care to comment?
