talking of which - Reggae Essentials seemed like a bargain download for £2.49, but upon raking the samples, found the first half to be lacklustre re-recordings of some of his most popular material, and the second half to be (apparently) mediocre new songs. ah widny bother.

Just arrived - Ladies At Joe Gibbs. The booklet confirms that this was taken from the original vinyl. That being the case, it still sounds great.

kid you not time! a mate's uncle received a nickname due to that song. due to a lifelong protruding eye condition, he is known to all as 'pop', his surname is Rankin, therefore he became 'Uptown Pop Rankin', or 'Uptown' for short. true

And although nothing to do with anything, I always think its a good idea to have a quick perv over Sarah Nixey!

I've got In A Town Called Addis and Addis Through The Looking Glass both excellent. Do I need Dub Me Tender (Vol 1 + 2) or is it a straight compilation from the other two?

In reply to an earlier post on 5 Oct 2013 22:55:45 BDT
sdd sent me a copy of dub me tender, which is the only one i've heard. apparently, it's dub versions of tracks from the other two - titles don't give any clues, tho'. i can do you a copy of the copy, if you like.

slow as a week in ayr jail, i thought i would pick up Once Ago, to find it, of course, back to full price. i used to have these on a pre (charisma) double album, being the 2 albums he recorded with this label. oh well!
