I don't remember this album being a double - it briefly charted, and was released on the K-Tel label (called 'Yukk!' records on the label) and came out on marbled turquoise vinyl - and to my knowledge has never been released on CD.Kick out the jams is not the MC5 song. The Fall covered I'm going to Spain on their The Infotainment Scam album. The deal by Pat Campbell charted - as did a recent re-issue of Surfin' Bird (top 10 in USA in its day).First editions of the album also included 'Kinky boots' by Patrick MacNee and Honor Blackman absent on later issues.

I have heard a compilation by Various Artists 'Bytes' - 12 artists tackle John Cage's silent composition 4.33.It was an LP on Perilous Records from about 1982 or 1983 and of course each track lasted 4.33.One of the bands were called The Faces but were nothing to do with Ronnie Wood and Co. and another band were Barry and The Whites, can't remember the names of the other 10.It even said 'PLAY LOUD!" in large letters on the record label. The cover art was the same artwork as the swirly design on The Faust Tapes album cover.Does a more bizarre compilation album exist? Doubt it! Never was the tired expression 'It all sounds the same' more apt.

Ah...but do they all sound the same? Listen very carefully and all sorts of ambient background sounds become audible unless, of course, you are listening to it in a sound proof sealed container!
