A short quote from wiki....

The handle, an ash stave, is masculine in nature while the birch used for the bristles is thought of as feminine in nature.....

And therein lies the lesson. Be wary of the birch. :-o

That's my particular fave Space and I guess it would be among most Tosca fans. Close behind are No Hassle and Tosca - Dehli9 - Studio !K7. I'd also say its definitely worth getting the CDs rather than downloads cos the packaging is top notch

Al - good to know you like K & D. Of course The K&D Sessions is generally acknowledged as THE downtempo mix to go to. DJ Kicks - Kruder & Dorfmeister is essential as is Peace Orchestra the solo album by Peter Kruder

Jemma, if your nomination is to include all Paul Rodgers then you'll be including Free. It's up to you amiga. ;-)

suzy, no need for apologies, always pleased to hear from you and you can nominated whoever you want. In fact I'll add Sia now (although it may take a while to come round).

Good luck with the challenges, and keep popping back ok? :-)

Posted on 21 Mar 2015 14:04:33 GMT
I'm so sorry everyone...x

I have had a lot of very serious and quite challenging stuff going on in my private life over the last 6 months which has meant I've barely had the concentration of a gnat, and have not really been in the right mood or frame of mind to take part in these playlist noms and votes threads. I have still tried occasionally but then ended up giving up.

It isn't that I'm not still interested though? - I've just often been far too mithered and distracted to focus properly. However I will consciously try in future and make much more of an effort to take part more often if I can, perhaps every 3rd thread or so?

In the meantime, I accidentally came across Sia whilst having a wander around the Internet last year - and I was utterly blown away by both the song 'Chandelier' and also the extraordinary video too of the remarkable 11 year old dancer, Maddie Ziegler, so can I possibly nominate Sia for a future thread please? ;o>

There's noting to prove really Space, as I said each to his/her own. Doesn't matter who is nominated, that artist runs the risk of being ignored, pigeonholed, maligned or downright abused. On the other hand I've found artists I've thought to be a bit 'meh' to actually have some hidden tracks that are excellent.

But that's my take on things, fortunately. If I didn't always hope for something like that I'd be similar in my opinion of 'those artists that have failed to inspire' and I'd probably never have undertaken Fave Artists all that time ago. It would surely have driven me bonkers ages ago! Maybe it already has.....Aaaaarrrghhh! :-)
