I was rather looking forward to My True Story by Aaron Neville, produced by Keith Richard and Don Was. However, I've just listened to the samples on Zon.us and it's hardly groundbreaking. It reminds me of his Bring It On Home... The Soul Classics - competent but doesn't add anything to the originals.

Can i just pop in to say that i wasn't actually waiting for a new Hendrix album in the first place

I am looking forwards to Bowies new one, if only to satisfy my curiosity. I am also looking forward to seeing what way Jimmy Page approached the reissues of Led Zeps stuff, again, curiosity has got the better of me.

I was expecting a response from a Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac fan sooner than that. No I'm not kidding.

Rumours?...you're kidding, surely? that album absolutely ruined Fleetwood Mac!

I was listening to a bit of Hendrix at the weekend for the first time in ages as it happens. I can't see this 'new' studio album being for anything other than the most avid of completists though.

I doubt most here will be holding their breaths in anticipation but a few of us here are looking forward to Odeon by Tosca. And here's hoping Lemon Jelly will wake up in 2013.

A new album by Mazzy Star would be nice. As it was due for release late last year I wasn't totally surprised when it didn't appear so I'll file this in the 'see it before you believe it' category.

The outtakes from Knocked Out Loaded are meant to be outstanding, loads of Tom Petty input that was shorn for the final mix/album selection. Brownsville Girl being of epic proportions on the outtake, allegedly. I am not a fan of Bob, although I do like a couple of his albums, and have never tried hunting these on the net. I would be fairly certain they are out there somewhere.

Dang, but that Miles looks like it could be a cracker.

I have a Fleetwood Mac boot from around then which is a cracker, so yes, the live stuff ought to be worth getting if you are a fan.
