Amazon Cloud Player iphone app issues after recent update

I recently updated the amazon cloud player app on my iphone 5 (running the latest version of iOS). It no longer works properly and is really buggy.
The problems are as follows:
- does not recognise recent purchases
- will not download mp3s
- crashes each time I start it
Unfortunately because the app won't stay open for more than 1 minute it is not possible to report issues from within the app (if that functionality was available in the app).
Is anyone else having these problems?

I have the same problem with the player crashing as soon as I open it. It started doing this just after I bought and downloaded an album and now it won't stay open long enough to do anything. It's a disaster!

I have the same problem with Cloud Player - on an iPad Air, app closes w/in a few seconds after opening it.

UPDATE: Un-installing and then re-installing the app seems to have fixed the problem.
