This used to be a problem under the old system, but at least there was a link halfway down the page enabling you to download the files directly.

Now, however, when I go to my cloud and click download a prompt comes up to download and install the Amazon MP3 Downloader, which I already have. I'm not going through this rigmarole every time! Hate this cloud BS.

I've complained to Amazon, no idea what response I'll get.

I guess you'll get the same response I got. Essentially, they arent bothered . They know people dont like the new system and also know about its problems. they also arent going to admit they've made a huge mistake (which we all know is the case) and go back to the old system Pity, Amazon downloads used to be the best out there- not any more.

I agree -downloads now not worthwhile, too much trouble -I just want the mp3 on my PC not some cloud I never access.Thinking of going elsewhere for my music.

I too had the same prob pre-Cloud...but as you say, there was an alternative. I used the 'contact us' link & was phoned back immediately. Turned out there's a bug with Cloud & IE9 compatability & as soon as I switched to Chrome it was fine. Might be worth trying if you're using IE?

Same thing happens to me. I called Amazon but they had no answers. I quit buying MP3's from them and use iTunes now.

Same thing here (using Mac Safari on Snow Leopard). Clicking the download button always prompts me to re-download the amazon music downloader, even though the latest version is already installed. I tried re-installing the downloader, but I still got the same thing. A workaround that at least got me the files I'd bought was this: I went to the stupid cloud player (which I have no interest in using), manually checked the missing files, and clicked on the download button there. This downloaded an amz file, which I could then open in the downloader app, and that finally got the files downloaded. Unless Amazon fixes this, I think I'll be going elsewhere for my music downloads whenever possible.

I use Firefox and have no problem downloading MP3s. Amazon have had a few great bargains recenty, unlike their, generally, overpriced rivals.

I'm in FF and agree it works if you select 'Download', then it goes thru the downloader to the Amazon Mp3 folder in libraries/music if you have windows 7

I agree with all the above, I just want something simple which downloads to my PC, at least I know where it is then, been ripped off with i-tunes too when they all disappeared.
Google chrome just causes problems with my computer too.....
Keep it SIMPLE Amazon, we're already stressed out enough as it is.
Thanks goodness I only spent .77p which I'll right off & find alternatives - your loss Amazon!
