AmAzon Cloud Player - Stuck on 'Matching songs...'

I'm a premium subscriber with about 38k of files to upload in total (so far). 21,296 have uploaded and the software has identified that about 500 files cannot be uploaded (>100mb, Apple lossless, etc). I'm fine with this.

However, when trying to upload the last 17k or so of files, the Importer scans my folders & identifies the files it needs to upload and after I've clicked 'Import All' it starts to try and match the files as per usual. However, for the last week or so it has just got stuck and constantly cycles through the same files trying to match them - for up to three days before I decided to quit in one case. As a result nothing actually gets uploaded.

If I try to upload a single folder, it works fine.

I could try and match what has already been uploaded with my drive and then manually upload individual folders but this a) defeats the point & b) will be a nightmare without a file export of Amazon library items.

And before you ask - yes everything is up to date & I have turned it on an off again(!)

Ha ha - there must be a god! Immediately after posting the message above, the Importer started uploading.

Now that's great service Amazon! ;-)

Seriously though, there is an issue here which could do with reviewing.

I'm a premium subscriber too and I have the same problem. I synched thousands of songs over the past few months. Today, I have 13 new songs to "sync up" but, alas, Amazon gets stuck matching the same 13 songs for hours and hours.

And I have exactly the same problem - 400 songs remain to upload - and I have to pause and resume twice for each song - it just doesn't seem to want them...

Mines doing something similar but timing out saying there is a connection issue, when there isn't.

I've got to say I'm not impressed with this at all. I wish I'd kept my money rather than paying for the premium player. The importer only seems to work when it feels like it. If I try and upload several albums at the same time it gets stuck when just scanning the folders and I have to crash out and start again. I have approx. 66k of songs that I want to copy but so far I've only managed about 3k and it's taking forever. And don't even start me on album art work issues. Back to iTunes I think!!!!

I no longer have the issue. My way round it is to ensure that all Critical Windows Updates are installed. The uploader does not work if any are not installed/pending. This may or may not be the root cause but I haven't had a problem for several months now by following this procedure.

I'm a premium subscriber and have a lot of music on my hard drive. I have the music sorted into folders that I want. When I go to import this, Amazon matches, and then imports. What happens is that if I have 25 songs in that folder, the importer puts one song into 25 different albums. How do I either stop the matching, or move all the songs into one album ? Also how do I change the album art ?

I've found that when it puts songs of an albums into different instances of the album on the cloud, it's usually because the Album Artist is different. Edit it so that the Album Artist is the same (eg "Various Artists"), while keeping the artist of the track different as necessary.
