To be fair to amazon, they have now resolved the problem, after I email them. They acknowledged they have had technical issues.

Having the same issue. Sounds like something broke within Amazon within the last few days, judging by the number of people affected. Have always been happy with Amazon previously but now I'm not 100% sure.

Have used this service before and it was fine. And they sorted this problem quickly today, but I still wasted half an hour or so trying to figure out what was going on...

Exactly the same here - just ordered 2 albums with nothing available to download. However, amazon responded very quickly to my e-mail and made the downloads available. Very satisfied with the speed they resolved this.

I never used Amazon downloads until today - finding out that albums were half the price of Apple iTunes Store. But unfortunately having the problem you guys are describing. I will contact Amazon support and see if I get my albums

Same situation for me. I already emailed amazon and they "restored"?? (their words) access to my tracks from the order page. All fixed in less than half an hour. Good service but a confusing and unnecessary problem in the first place. Downloads now complete, but this sort of thing puts you off and I download quite often so if it reoccurs I'll be looking at other suppliers.

Exactly the same here. Didn't go to the downloader, nor offer a link of any sort. Just a confirmation email and no albums. Not good enough.

I've also not been able to download today. When I go "View order details" page there is no box offering downloads, so I'm going to email amazon. I've received a email saying these tracks are available to download, but can't find them either using the downloader or under my account details on amazon's website. Frustrating and confusing. PS, what email address have you been using to email amazon, can I just reply to the email they sent me confirming the order?

My downloads also didn't happen...I hate downloads and prefer to buy cds, but just for two songs I thought I'd download, mistake...hope I get a reply from amazon soon

My download also never appeared today, no message, no warnings etc. - Oddly my downloader reports version 1.0.9 en_GB but check for updates says latest version is only 1.0.4

I've not had this problem before after 2 years of downloads. Suspect some software update incompatility.

UPDATE - Got response from amazon and tracks now available to download from 'your account' and work OK. I don't like their 'try again' and 'redownload' terminology - they had a real problem since my downloader never even started.

I've just received an email from Amazon with the same information as noted above. Please note though, for anyone who has had the same problem, the above won't work unless you contact Amazon as they have to make the items available to download again.

I had the same problem, amazon emailed me this. Why it's not available on the website I have no idea!

1. Go to the "Your Account" page on the Amazon website, it can be found in the top right hand side of most pages on the website next to basket and help

2. Click on the "Your Orders" button and sign in with your e-mail address and password

3. Once you are viewing your recent orders find the order in question and click on the "View Order Details" link underneath the order date

4. On the next page which opens you should see a yellow/beige coloured dialogue box which is entitled "You Have MP3 Downloads" in red

5. If you have the Downloader installed, within the dialogue box you should see the blue underlined link and a list of the tracks which have been made available to you. Please be mindful that this is a single use link and will become deactivated after you click on it. Clicking multiple times may cause an error

6. Click on the link "Click here to redownload all the tracks listed below"

7. You will be prompted to open or save an .amz file if you have the Amazon MP3 Downloader installed. This file activates the Amazon MP3 Downloader and initiates downloading your MP3 song files. Be sure to select "Open" when prompted. You may also want to select the option to always take this action so you do not see the Open dialogue box after each purchase

8. If you do not have the Downloader installed, you will have to download the tracks individually. Please click on each track and choose "Save" when prompted to save the .mp3 file. Please wait until one song has downloaded completely before clicking Download for the next song

I've got the same problem. In fact I've ended up buying the same song twice this morning, both times they've taken my money, sent me a confirmation email but the song hasn't downloaded either time.

Did you ever get your music? I've just got the same problem... I regularly download music using the mp3 downloader but for some reason, today it doesn't work. Have sent an email and am waiting for a reply.

Having real issues with MP3 download over last 2 weeks. Latest just says "sorry there has been an error etc" but still manages to send a confirmation e-mail so that they can take my money! Have taken all steps advised with browser access etc. Trying to close my account now but that looks like a minefield of course. Very dissapointed customer!!

If you buy one more song, you should get the opportunity to download the mp3 downloader again.
What happened to me though, is that I purchased a track for £0.89 and it never downloaded the track at all. I'm now waiting for a reply from Amazon on my query about that.
