Hello Paul, I have downloaded it and posted it on the Children Books Forum. Sounds good. :) It was also mentioned in the Freebies thread on the Kindle Forum. Thank you for the promotion. I hope to read it within the next two days and pass it onto my children's Kindle.

Thanks heaps. I have been amazed at the downloads, but for a book set in the UK I would have thought I would have cracked the Top 200, but no. Anway, book dosen't suit anyone, no wizards or vampires or ghosts, so hopefully you like that sort of thing.

Cheers.

I was just saying on another forum that I have been told I am old fashioned. My children, like me, have been raised on Enid Blyton, Caroline Queen, the Hardy Boys . Obviously, they had more modern books like the Astrosaurs, Rainbow Fairies and Beast Quest (and Harry Potter, of course) but I am not too fond of blood and vampires. So, your book, I am sure, will suit us just fine.
By the way, I just finished a children book called Isla and the Spirit Police and it had just the right amount of scariness for young readers. Not too much but enough to get the suspense going. So, not all ghost stories are gruesome.
I hope you'll get to the Top 200 or even 100, but bear in mind that even if Kindle is popular, not all parents get it (yet) for their children. I think adult books go to the top more rapidly.

Just downloaded your book Paul, it looks great. I think a lot of people don't realise that kids still enjoy good adventure books. A few years ago my 8 year old niece seemed to read nothing but Bratz and High School Musical type stuff so I bought her the first couple of Famous Five books on the off chance she would like them. By the end of the year she had read all 15 books plus Secret Seven, Malory Towers and St Clares. She is now 12 and is reading Agatha Christie. I think your book will be perfect to read to her younger brother next time they visit. Of course then I get to enjoy it too.
