Have a look at the product description of this - sounds like an idea for a decent fantasy epic....

Blimey! If anyone did that to me I'd probably have to kill them.

BTW apart from Ignite and Gingerlilly have any of you seen this post? http://www.amazon.co.uk/forum/meet%20our%20authors/ref=cm_cd_rvt_np?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx3ETKKJQSTRPGM&cdPage=1&cdThread=Tx4P1C7OBM9CVS#CustomerDiscussionsNew

I think it would be fun but clearly no-one else on here does... Will? Jim? Davie?

They're probably still asleep and snoring their fantasy-filled little heads off....

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 11:01:28 BDT
The very idea fills me with insane jealousey.

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 11:07:28 BDT
Me too... up at 6:20 again... sigh!

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 11:28:09 BDT
Ugh. You have my sympathy. Wee man slept until 7.30 today when I had to wake him - we have to be at school by 8.30 am on a Monday.

But I did get to see a beautiful sunrise. Got a photo and all...

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 12:02:15 BDT
There's something about the stillness of the dawn, too and a slight ner-diddly-er-der-isness about being up and about when everyone else is in bed.

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 12:48:35 BDT
And not having to deal with crowded trains and screaming kids...

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 14:01:14 BDT
Mmm... mine sobbed his heart out when I dropped him off though.

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 14:10:24 BDT
Awww - poor little mite. As long as he's not screaming in my ear I can quite happily sympathise.

Posted on 26 Mar 2012 14:59:27 BDT
Serve her right for dropping him, then.

Next time, accelerate away faster, drowns the noise. (worked for me, anyway. If I was in a good mood, I'd even halt the car before shoving them out, some days)

Phnurk. Yeh. He's pretty cheery now, as well. He's busy on the cross-trainer at the moment. He rides it like a bike.

If anyone's interested, Simon Royle has just interviewed me! ooooo! It's here if anyone wants a look. http://www.theindieview.com/2012/03/28/indieview-with-mt-mcguire-author-of-few-are-chosen/

Actually, forget my interview, just enjoy the site!

Great interview! But did pooh HAVE to come into it??

Posted on 30 Mar 2012 18:32:23 BDT
OK... let me quote you a little snippet from book 3...

"The first thing that forced its way into Deirdre's consciousness was the pain. The second thing was an ardent longing to be asleep still. She supposed there were some parts of her that didn't ache. Yeh, her eyelids were OK. And her nose. That didn't hurt. Or her left ear. Anywhere else pain free? No. It would seem not.
Ugh.
These reflections were disturbed by Deirdre's usual first thought upon waking in the morning, which was that she could quite do with a wee. So she was going to have to get out of bed. Arnold no. Not yet. "

There. Wee and Pooh in two consecutive posts!

Cheers
