I've not abandoned you guys. If you can, keep this thread going. I'll not be able to check in for a few days. Real life's calling, you see? Have fun, you lot.

I used to have a real life.
I'm ok now though.

Yeah, I normally live in the computer, too, but every now and then, there's a real person demanding my time and I'm more than happy to give it to her. She's my best friend and we'll have a smashing time. The weather's wonderful; I just ignore the clouds.

You sound like me Ignite. I now have to re download all my e library to Calibre, because I deleted the whole lot when I got my new kindle. I'm now wishing I'd done it alphabetically instead of the whole lot in one go.

Hi all - I thought everyone might still hungover from Friday!

Suze says:
Nah, I'm completely sober and not hung over. Boring or what.

The Bub says:
Then we'll be boring together, Suze ;-)

Glad you're all still popping by. Sundays is means to be lazy and boring. Though I wasn't. My friend arrived, loves my new flat (she's just making coffee), we'll then go for a fry up, the roof and then some culture intake (Tate). Wish the weather would be better. But I see blue on the horizon.

I went to lunch yesterday at someone's house, and the meal finished just before 6pm! By the time I got home I just wanted to lie on the sofa....

I did some weeding at my allotment. I came back seriously mucky! Then I finished a book and started another. Please don't feel inadequate - I'm only a reader!

I didn't drink this weekend, and it wasn't my usual relaxing Sunday - I had to do some admin for one charity, then rehome my foster kittens, do a major clean in the room ready for the next lot of foster kittens. I now have 3 hissy, spitty kittens that dont want to be touched. Might be good timing with doing Bout of Books this week.

strikes me there's a story in there somewhere ;-)
You should be able to weave all sorts of things into the brief stay of a foster kitten

Celebrations in our house yesterday with Man City's miraculous win of the Premiership over rivals Man Utd! I am a Liverpool fan but my sister is a big City fan so she was over the blue moon. They've not won the league since 1968! It was such a dramatic conclusion too. Sorry if I am being a footie bore!

I am also a cat lover, but not sure I would up to looking after hissy spitty kitties!

YEs, you could definitely get some stories - unfortunately I am not a good writer so st would need a very good editor to make it interesting!

I'll be back tomorrow evening. Knackered, but we're preparing for the theatre. :-)

So this is where all you guys are hanging out now. My goodness, I can't keep up with you. Other threads just fade and you pop up somewhere else.

My big news is that I got a new sewing machine with an automatic threader because my eyes just can't seem to find that teeny-tiny hole in the needle. Problem is that the thing has such tiny parts I needed a large magnifying glass that hangs around my neck to use the darn thing. Now that I know how it goes though, I might be able to use it without the glass. I made granddaughter a new quilt that now needs sandwiching together, so I better get busy. Any other quilters in the house?

The Bub says:
Not me, Joyce. But I'm sure there are others! Happy quilting :-)

I'm a quilter! I have a machine with an auto threader too. I knew I was old when I had to start sewing with my reading glasses on!
