If you like psychological thrillers, please enjoy my book for free Today, July 3rd. A quick read for the holiday!

Mean: A Psychological Thriller Novelette

Mean is a novelette (longer than a short-story but shorter than a novella) that follows Cassandra Connelly's therapy sessions. She goes to a psychiatrist seeking help, because she believes she is mean inside. She has anger issues, and there's a person she truly hates; so much she is convinced he or she deserves to die. She is thinking about killing said person - would the therapy help her decide not to kill somebody or push her to do exactly that?

Gaspar The Thief

Gaspar The Thief is a new humorous fantasy adventure by British author, David A. Lindsay.

There's no reviews on Amazon yet, but it's received three 4 Star reviews at Goodreads, plus it's neither a short story nor a novella - it's a full-length novel of 126,000 words. Here's the blurb:

Follow the adventures of Gaspar, a freelance thief who stubbornly refuses to swear fealty to the Thieves' Guild.

Cursed with a special affinity for calamity and mishap, and a talent for snatching defeat from the brink of victory, our unlikely hero blunders from one misfortune to the next, yet somehow always manages to survive to tell the tale.

Gaspar and his companions - Hubris, a spellbroker who refuses to pay his dues to Wizards' Hall, and Marna, a feisty thiefess with a quick tongue and a quicker temper - possess an unlucky knack for converting adversity into catastrophe. From a funeral ship to a poisonous seductress, from a goblin army laying siege to an ancient border fortress to a mischievous wood-wight, there's no end to the trouble they get themselves into!

Last day of free-dom today!

She Looks Pale - a noveletta told by a young girl confined to the house by her over-protective parents

The title is taken from a schoolgirl levitation ritual, practised by the mother of narrator Hannah. As a result of Meningitis at the age of six, Hannah nearly dies leading her parents to become obsessively over-protective. Her parents gradually dispose of all methods of modern communication and take Hannah out of school until one day, tortured by the evils of the world, her father `disappears' during the Lord's Prayer one mealtime. Hannah's mother continues the self-imposed isolation. Confined in the house, Hannah's only contact with the world is either through the window or through her mother's past.
