On offer FREE today and tomorrow (7th and 8th March), this special edition of Ascension Day (full volume of Ascension Day plus first 12 chapters of Past Imperfect).

If you're an author with a book offered free today, offer it here:

Ascension Day PLUS (AD plus part of Past Imperfect)

Ascension Day is like a narcotic, laced with danger, and totally addictive. Impossible to put down. This is what thrillers are meant to be. Jac McElroy is a character I want to read more of.
- Jon Jordan. Crime Spree Magazine.

Goes to the wire... a gripping thriller.
- The Scotsman.

'Move over Grisham, your reign is over! Reminiscent of vintage Grisham, but Matthews has his own distinctive style. Strong, believable characters and a plot that grips from page one and won't let go, twisting and turning its way towards a nail-biting climax - they don't come much better than this. One of the best and most memorable thrillers I've read in years. A winner all the way.'
- Bob Burke. Mystery Readers International.

Meanwhile, Ascension Day (plus) is on its last promo day. Got picked up by e-readernews in the USA, so right now it's riding No1 in the legal thrillers chart, 39 overall.

Living by the Swamp is a delightful book that adults will enjoy reading as much as children.

Just to say that My Imaginary Life is free for a few days - honest reviews will be much appreciated!

Alone in a green chalet set among the dunes and marram grass on a beach somewhere on the west coast of Wales, Rheanna is painting her way out of a breakdown brought about by the disappearance of her son and the death of her lover. One night a terrifying storm and the sudden appearance in the chalet of a mysterious teenage boy jolt her precarious and hard-won equilibrium. Fragmented images from stolen hours making love with Cameron Franklin, a notorious poet, play across her mind, and as events gather and escalate, Rheanna struggles to retain her grip on reality until the final pages when past and present collide.

Due to the nature of the story, there's some adult content.

Review: 5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Excellent, 15 Jan 2012
It was a very fast moving and excellent story. I thought that the author covered some unpleasant aspects in the story without going into too much detail, which made it a more pleasant read for me personally.

Product Description:

Saber Hill, a colonial mansion close to post 911 Washington where nothing is what it seems. Not knowing that can cost you your life.

The Screen Conspiracy intertwines a range of sensitive social and political issues in a 330 page novel, encompassing all the hallmarks of a good murder, mystery and suspense thriller with strongly developed characters, each with their own unique story.

Jack Halpin, once an up and coming senior executive, is on a downward career and personal projectory. His beliefs and all the vestiges of his career and privileged family life are challenged as he is submerged in a dangerous world for which he is ill prepared. A member of the Fairfax Gun Club, Jack is a traditionalist who believes in the right to bear arms, law and order. He has a strained relationship with his wife Poppy, the daughter of respected Senator Jock Kessles, a man who is deeply disappointed in his unsuccessful son-in-law.

Unknown to Jack, the mysterious death of a senator is the signature tune to a traumatic change in his world and everything he has taken for granted. Surviving the onslaught of rapid, life or death challenges and the sinister forces facing him, will require all his resolve. This journey will bring him face to face with murder, political intrigue, depravity and betrayal.

The Screen Conspiracy is an intelligent thriller which uses fiction and an array of unique characters, to tease out a political conspiracy where evil, reality and patriotism overlap seamlessly. Strong characters, unexpected consequences, racy humor and a readable, escalating tempo combine to make this a novel that immerses the reader in the storyline and search for justice.

"I'll admit I was completely thrown by the title of this book. If for some reason you are as well, "fuhgeddaboudit"! This is an engaging, page turning, can't put it down, don't know where the time went, read." ¯Todd Fonseca, Reviewer

"Fans of historical romance and possibly even those who are into westerns, sans romance, should find much to like in Darlin' Druid." ¯BigAl's Books and Pals

"A touch of the Irish in the Old West is the best description of this story. I really enjoyed the book, the ending wasn't rushed . . . . I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. ¯Laura Wallace, Paranormal Romance Guild

Waking Lloegr

Long-listed and commended in the UKAuthors Opening Pages competition

Waking Lloegr is an Arthurian comedy fantasy set in the 70s. King Arthur has returned after 1,500 years. This time Excalibur is an electric guitar and his knights are a punk rock band. Merlin is the band's manager. Britain is now ruled by Modred the 28th and has been immortal since being castrated by Excalibur 1,500 years ago.

If you like CELT buy this book. If you like PUNK buy this book. If you like a LAUGH buy this book. JUST BUY IT, it's only $0.99!

What readers said:

At times mercilessly witty, at other times very poetic. Excellent how the author adapts his writing to the period in which the action takes place.

I honour this author with a deep curtsey.

Waking Lloegr had this reader in stitches.

"I don't know what would stop a publisher smiling at this one - very well written"

"This looks like fun - the Arthurian legend woven into modern life!"

"I thought this excellently written. The characters are developed well, the dialogue good and I think the piece really comes alive"

The top ten bestseller Past Imperfect is being offered free today (5th April).

Past Imperfect

Two boys. One Murder. Sometimes justice takes more than a lifetime.

A car accident in California, a deadly assault in Provence, and two boys 30 years apart are left battling for their lives.

Dominic Fornier is the detective who finds himself at the heart of the investigation. A simple provincial case that becomes one of the largest and most important in French criminal history.

Fornier's only hope is to prove the link between the two boys thirty years apart. A compulsive journey through forensic, medical and psychiatric evidence between France, the USA and London; a breathless paper chase of clues from a young boy's psyche... and a desperate race against time with a killer who will stop at nothing.

The Times
'Matthews maintains the suspense... an engrossing odyssey into the seamy side of a world that is so near, yet sometimes seems so far. Compulsive reading.'

Cork Examiner
'One of the most compelling novels I've read... an ambitious and big novel which will keep you enthralled to its last page.'

Yorkshire Post
'A classy, well-written and unusual thriller.'

Dublin Evening Herald
'Matthews delivers one of the best debut thrillers in years, brave, ambitious and remorselessly entertaining. Past Imperfect is a stormer.'
