Hi all, I had a Samsung np355v5c 15.6" screen a.m.d a8 4500m 1.9 g.h.z. 8 g.b ram 1t.b h.d.d with Windows7. I only had it 3 months before the motherboard melted and am looking for a replacement. This cost me 465 in December, so I have about that figure to spend . The problem is that all the computers in that price range are either second hand or inferior I.e only 6g.b ram and 500-750 hard drive or worse have Windows 8 installed .as I 7think this is proof positive of the second coming of the anti Christ and the
resulting apocalypse I do not want it as my operating system. So any ideas would be appreciated all I have to have is 8g.b. ram and Windows7 with at least 750 g.b hard drive. Thanks in advance

D.M: when Windows 8 is faster, more secure, is more modern and up to date, and has more features than Windows 7... I am surprised you think it is a major barrier to you.

If you think of it as having a full screen start menu, and access to an app store for downloading the latest Kindle app, as well as many other added features, then it should not be a barrier.

If it is... then you may need to configure your own PC, rather than buying "off the shelf". Novatech or maybe Dell might be able to help.
