If you have a Kindle, a Kindle Keyboard, Kindle Touch or Kindle Paperwhite you don't need any filter. If, on the other hand, you have a Fire of any description then it's not suitable for use in bright sunlight. It's a back-lit tablet with a screen that behaves in a similar manner to a mobile phone screen, camera screen, computer screen or television. The inbuilt light can't possibly outshine the sun.

You'll need to find some shade.
